Went this morning from 6-1030! They are generating a lot of water and the lake is dropping fast. Started out early fishing offshore and the bite was very slow. Only caught four small largemouth and got on some of the biggest sand bass I've ever seen. Caught all my fish on a 6xd, and yes it is hotttt!

Hello all. I'm from a small town just south of Sam Rayburn. I don't tournament fish or any of the sort but I must say I have zero experience or knowledge about Toledo Bend. I'm thinking of making the drive over next week to the south end of the lake. I will be coming from Woodville tx so I have no idea what to expect when I arrive. I'm looking for bigger fish( fishing deeper water). I'm trying to drive the minimal distance and I'm clueless as to where to start. Any helpful advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

Haven't been out to big Sam in about a week. Me and my brother are going out Saturday morning and just wondering how some other people have been doing.

Anybody doing any good on Big Sam?
