Did I getcha? Ha! Anyways guys, hi I'm Adam. I'm kinda new here, I was just told I need to post in other areas other that the flea market... So... here goes. I'm from Minnesota, about 85%of out 10,000 plus lakes are basically swamps! Tons of vegetation and sunken timber. With that in mind, I spent tons of time flippin and punching cover. For years now I've been tying whatever I'm using directly to braid. I've stuck to a variety of green and tan lines thus far. I was considering making a move to a hi-vis braid for visually picking up dead line strikes, thus thinking of tying a fluorocarbon leader. Problem is when I've tried tying braid to fluorocarbon in the past I've had nothing but problems with knots. I'm definitely not over confident with the idea however ready to consider a revisit.
My question are...
Is this a horrible idea? If not, what is your set up can you recommend ? I.e. Lines and diameters. What joint knot are you using?
I'd really love to be able to trust this set up.
Thanks a lot guys.
