  1. I've been interested in pouring my own soft plastics for years but stayed too busy with school. Finished my BS in May and have had a little free time on my hands this summer while I'm looking for work. Being light on cash I decided to experiment and see what I could come up with around the house to make soft plastic baits. I had to spend maybe $10-$12 at Walmart...but most of the stuff I already had around the house. Results have been pretty good so far...the bass in my avatar came on a supersized salamander imitation I came up with. Anybody else making their own molds for soft plastic baits?
  2. You'll like that Minima reel seat. I put one on a 10' 3wt euroymphing rod I built this spring and will definitely be putting one on my next spinning rod. Super light with no wasted space/material. Make sure you post pics.
  3. PB was...believe it or not...on a t-rigged 4" Lucky Strike curly-tail worm (walmart special) in motor oil/red when I was 12 or 13. Don't remember the exact weight but it is hanging on the wall above my desk. Since then I've had a few fish that were close on a c-rig and one on a good old Creme Lit'le Fishie that used to be so popular for striper fishing...
  4. Zoom u-tail on a c-rig Zoom finessee on a shakeyhead Weightless senko
  5. I'm new from N Ga. I grew up bass fishing as a kid, but picked up fly fishing early in highschool and spent a ton of time chasing those slimy mountain fish in highschool and college. I tie my own flies and build, repair, and restore rods. Decided upon graduating college that I would get back into bass fishing again and I've started toying around with pouring my own soft plastics this summer. I'm looking forward to reading (and hopefully contributing) to the forum. Tight Lines, Sam
