  1. I would start with one method of soft plastics, and master that. Then just keep adding new tricks as you go.
  2. Part of the fun of bass fishing is the endless possibilities there are to catch them.
  3. Thanks I actually hit Percy Priest for the first time Sunday. Went out with a guide. Beautiful lake, and my son and I had a great day.
  4. Any Nashville area folks out there that could recommend some spots for bank fishing? I just moved a couple months ago. Have had some success with boat ramps on old hickory.
  5. Lipless crankbaits, rapala floating minnows, Texas rig.
  6. I am landlocked on old hickory lake, and the only places with shore access are heavily fished. I usually do better than everyone else around me, but am averaging one per hour. Lipless cranks have worked the best for me so far, and I just started having some success with the Rapala floating minnow. I feel like you aren't going to trick fish into eating very easily so you have to go for reaction strikes. While soft plastics have always been my specialty I have not had much luck with them so far although I recently started using the drop shot, and have caught my first fish on that rig. I would be curious to hear any critiques/advice to what I have been doing.
  7. This made me lol, an I needed that today. Thanks!
  8. Thanks everyone!
  9. Hi everyone, I moved to Hendersonville, TN about 2 months ago, and got back into bass fishing. I grew up in South Florida fishing for largemouths and peacocks almost everyday, and occasionally saltwater. My dream is to have a boat soon, but for now I am land locked. Hoping to learn a lot here. Thanks, Alex
