  1. thanks definitely going to be putting together now. looks like another winter project
  2. I have no idea where I would mount it I feel like my 9.9 is too small
  3. i don't use one though i would like to have one just don't think it's a good idea to put in on my aluminum boat
  4. seriously hope mine is like this but i am really doubting it will be
  5. a nice cranking stick would be awesome as well as maybe a jackall gantrel
  6. i know you got me wanting amegabass x-dad too
  7. that's a gorgeous swimbait now i'm going to spend more money and i don't even have a swimbait rod yet
  8. depends on if i'm pitching a jig or a t-rig i'm a fan of flappin hogs as well as sausteki craws if i'm pitching a t-rig for jigs i normally use rage craws or chigger craws, some times a brush hog
  9. not a huge fan of this. My Cabela's had a selection of smaller brands that my BPS doesn't carry they also have a lot more swimbaits than BPS does.
  10. i'm happy with my 12' aluminum with my 9.9 though i would like to have a deck on it instead of standing on a seat
  11. sounds like a good deal the 134.99 would cost me 175 plus shipping so roughly 200 maybe 225 for just the guide select i haven't been able to find it locally yet unfortunately
  12. i would love if the okuma guide select would go on sale 20% would be good it would at least cut some of the exchange rate down for me
  13. i would look into bladed jigs. They are definitely one of my favourite techniques
  14. it was a rather expensive weekend i picked up a tatula 100hs 2X sk 6xd's 2X lc pointer 100 sp's 2X z man project z chatterbaits 2X sk rage blades and a spool of #15 Abraz-x
  15. looking to get a new cranking setup most likely a 7'6" Veritas 2.0 MH/M with either a tatula 100p or a bass pro tourney special haven't decided on the reel yet
  16. just looking for opinions really what people think of the rods, reels, any issues you may see just kind of an outsider looking in perspective
  17. ok so i'm looking to get a couple more rods and reels for next season i currently have the following: 7' MH/F Abu Garcia Veritas 2.0 with a 7.0.1 Bass Pro Shops Tourney Special with 65 LB power pro (my topwater or flipping rod) 7' MH/F Bass Pro Shops Graphite Series Trigger with a 6.4.1 Abu Garcia Silver Max with 15 LB fluro (my crank of moving bait rod) 6'6" M/F Ugly Stick Lite with a 5.3.1 Pfluger Purist with 10 LB fluro (for my finesse stuff) i'm looking to have get more setups so it looks more like this: Baitcasters: 7' MH/F Abu Garcia Veritas 2.0 with a 7.0.1 Bass Pro Shops Tourney Special with 65 LB power pro (my topwater or flipping rod) 7' MH/F Bass Pro Shops Graphite Series Trigger with a 6.4.1 Abu Garcia Silver Max with 15-20 LB Abraz-X (my chatterbait rod) 7'6" MH/M Abu Garcia Veritas 2.0 with a 5.3.1 Bass Pro Shops Tourney Special with 12-15 LB Inviz-X (my crankbait rod) 7'6" H/MF Okuma Guide Select with a 7.3.1 Daiwa Tatula 100 with 65 LB Power Pro or 20 LB Abraz-X (my big bait rod) Spinning: 6'6" M/F Ugly Stick Lite with a 5.3.1 Pfluger Purist with 10 LB fluro (for my finesse stuff) any opinions on this are welcome. since it is winter so i will be budgeting for this throughout the off season
  18. i have the tournament special it's ok nothing to write home about but it hasn't given me any problems this year thought the "anti backlash system" just seems like they have put a permanent brake on the spool i use it for topwater and flipping and it's reliable but i don't know if i would buy more than one
  19. my feelings exactly this is why i have no sympathy for these type of people. i laugh when i hear them complain about getting ticketed for not having a fishing license, what did you honestly think would happen?
  20. seems pretty simple that matching the bait colour to whatever they normally eat would produce more bites. sure you can catch them on something that isn't a colour they are normally used to but i feel like that would be more of a reaction bite than anything.
  21. but then what about topwater?
  22. never fished spinnerbaits but i have one i got in a MTB i want to try out, maybe next year i'll get into it
  23. i normally make sure my rivet on my buzzbait is completely flat maybe file them if they are painted upgrade hooks on certain cranks i also have a couple square bills that no longer have bills this one wasn't really by choice but i hit the inside of my boat while casting and it kind of shattered.
  24. picked up a spro bbz rat 50 in brown as well as 2 4" spro bbz-1 shad in sexy lavender and wicked perch. looks like i'll be buying a swimbait rod and a new reel in the winter hopefully there are some sales around
