  1. Heres a cool setup with downriggers. Mark
  2. To those with pontoons this websites got pretty info on it..... http://www.pontoon.net/fusetalk/forum/index.cfm?forumid=3 You might like it. Mark
  3. Thanks Wayne. Any recommendations on where to buy a spare at a fair price ? Thanks Mark
  4. I really dont think you'll regret the decision. Pure hardcore fishing you cant beat a nice Skeeter but all around pleasure/fun these barges rock. When it gets real windy I dont want to be fishing in any boat to be honest. Ive turned into a fair weather fisherman I guess...although I dont mind a light wind or rain. I saw a nice Toon last year with 2 downriggers trolling for Salmon. Why not ? ;-) Mark
  5. Thanks for the replys guys....even you "cart7t. lol Im pretty sure I didnt say they should replace bass boats on the BassMasters tour with these "sucky" "party barges" Cart. ;-) I love the wireless trolling motor...made a huge difference. Im looking at a TM mount 565 fishfinder for the front up by where I stand. That will be a help to. The one on there now is on the console so Im always turning around. I dont fish tournaments anymore so on the real windy days I just end up behind islands/points or quieter coves fishing....where I bump into alot of others including some bass boats too BTW. Thats what I did when I had my bass boat too. Happy fishing ! Mark
  6. Found it ... "C3 X 11.6 X 11" My friend said he thinks C3 means cupped 3 blade. I think I'll stick with these stock settings. I'll try to find a backup based on those #'s. Thanks for the tip. Never bought a prop before so I need the help. lol Mark
  7. TeamD, Thanks for your help. I'll have to see if theres a # on the prop. At least I know where to start now! Mark
  8. I have a 02 40 HP and want to get a spare prop/nut for it to have just in case. I was told its a 11 degree prop (?) but thats all I know. Not real concerned with performance or whatever else the differences are in props unless I need to be. Its on a pontoon boat so it aint a speed demon. :-) What else do I need to know to get one ? Wheres a good source to get a spare prop online...even used is OK ? Thanks for any input. Mark
  9. Short answer...I dare ya. Mark
  10. Ive done alot of float tube fishing and always pick a handfull of lures based on the pond/season and put them in a small tupperware type peice. They come in alot of sizes that would fit in the big vest pockets although I put them in my tube zipper pouch. Theres something to be said for going out with only 6-8 lures and focusing on just what you have at hand. Less distractions than having 300 lures in 10 colors with you. ;-) Mark
  11. Curious if anyone else does ? I love the space on it. Its a 18' boat with a Motorguide wireless trolling motor. Not a 'fishing' model but we've made a few adds to make it nice. Only limitation is on real windy days its a bear to keep in place because it catches some more wind than my old bass boat. (Grumman Renagade) Actually that was no picnic in the wind either. I bring the wife and dog out sometimes and everyones happy. I upgraded the Tunes on it and have an iPod jack now also. Its got a pop up shelter with a battery op porta potty for her that works great and a removable swim ladder...and a grill that I can put in the front if I want for us....if the fish aint biting. Im thinking of putting a butt seat up front to rest the back at times. All in all I like it alot and wondered who else had one for fishing? Mark
  12. Sounds like you do better than me so stick with whats been working for you ! I agree with focusing on cover also. Mark
  13. A fellow SlapStick fan I see. ;-) Mark
  14. CR, Its a floater with rattles. The odd thing about it is the tail floats below the surface and the nose up...sort of on an angle. The thing I like is the rattle and the fact that when I twitch it theres alot of action but it doesnt have to be moved much to get it. I let it sit for 10 seconds or so and then 2 small twitches myself. Seems to work best in the high 60's it seems. Hope that helps. Mark
  15. I had a vision. ;-) Actually it just came to me its a SlapStick. Thanks Mark
  16. I have a 4 3/4' jerkbait that Ive had for years and on occasion it works this time of year. It has rattles and 3 trebles. The thing that may give it away is the lip and the fin on top of its back that are molded into the body and match the lure color. This specific one is all gold w/orange belly with two round dots on each side. I have a good picture but because I never post it wont let me attach it. If someone could email me I'll send it so they can post it... ? Thanks for your help. GREAT site BTW. EastMark@localnet.com
  17. Full size One Minus...let it sit 30 seconds...then retrieve it so slow it hurts...so it stays on top and create a small wake almost like a Jitterbug. Mark
