  1. WOW, Drew Cook with the big fish bonus took me out of the top 5! Still a great finish, nothing to complain about.
  2. What's the scouting report on Reinkenmeyer?

  4. I'm looking at upgrading my 24v Maxxum 70 with a 36v Fortrex 112. I have a 2013 Nitro Z-7. My one concern is about shaft length on a new trolling motor. I've fished with a 45" forever and hate when it pops out in rough conditions on big water. The 52" would be super helpful. Only concern I have is about raising the trolling motor to fish shallow. How do I mount my LiveScope to my shaft so I can raise it without running into tape/tie downs? By running LiveScope on my shaft do I restrict myself for how shallow I can go? Also the Fortrex looks like it takes a hex key not a twist to adjust height? Appreciate any insight y'all have.
  5. Hey i'm 16 years old and starting to more frequently enter competive tournaments. This summer i'm thinking about joining a local b.a.s.s club. I need suggestions on a new punching setup. Alot of the tournaments are on flipping waters. Heavy braid, high gear ratios and broomsticks.... I'm currently looking at the iROD genesis II 7'11" bub's punch rod. Is that too long? I'm about 5'9" 150lbs. I'm wondering if i should step down to the 7'7" or will the 7'11" work? I'll be using 65lb braid and i like the benefits of a moderate/fast action rod because braid has no stretch and i don't want to pop the hook out of fish in mats. Or will the fast action and 7'7" rod be okay all thoughts appreciated. My price range is that $150 dollar area but i'm kinda flexible bc i work if you have a better suggestion -ADK
  6. The ghost doesn't have guide inserts, so I don't like throwing braid on it. I prefer the veritas for frogs and such.
  7. Dude I live on LG too, Idrc bc I don't ice fish. Funny you said this, I was thinking about it the other day... I wonder if it messes with spawns or maybe it will be good bc they will see less action from ice fisherman

  9. This idea for a topic came to me while browsing through loads of miscellaneous tackle at home. My question to you guys is do you prefer a jig with more contrasting colors or to match your skirt to your trailer? My take on the subject is to have a multi-colored jig with a trailer that matches your secondary color. For example I like a Black w/ blue accent pitching jig with a blue sapphire zoom chunk trailer. I switch it up though when they aren't biting or when I fish offshore football jigs. With football jigs I contrast the trailer with the skirt. Like green pumpkin with a blue trailer, or pbj with watermellon. I think it gives the bass a better look in deeper water, and looks like different forage. IDK I have a system for now but I'd like to see what you guys have to say, and what else I could try.
  10. You know Z man makes a finesse T.R.D specifically for the ned rig. It works great, and just like a skaky head because it stands right up on a jighead.
  11. Dude I feel for ya! I fish as a co-angler in my local bass club, so I have some experience fighting for bites and trying to find a limit all day. My best advice is to be super observant of your boater and how he is catching his fish. If for example he is throwing a 3/4 once football jig offshore, than you could pick up a big worm or swim bait. Don't throw the same bait as him, just fish the same water zone. I also try to scale down my presentation to catch more bass, or the more finicky fish he might of missed. Like I said, be observant and try to find something or catch on to a pattern he hasn't figured out yet, and you'll always be successful out of the back of the boat.
  12. I will a ton of crap for this but, the *** lunker frog.
  13. Nice fish! I'm a local of Lake George born and raised. Btw its not John Henry who lives in the large house on assembly point. His name is Phil Morris and he's a co owner. The LMB and SMB populations look great IMO. I caught over 10 5+ pounders this spring during the spawn and some quality 3.5 and 4 lb. smallies. The lake looks great and fishs great too!
