I was using 1/2 oz today and thought it was too much. Which style jig you use?

What size jig do you guys use for water under 4 feet. Do you still use them or just Texas rig?

I’ve had this reel for 3 years so it’s already broken in. There is a knock in the reel now. And the reel is very rough on the retrieve. It feels as if it’s coming from the spool tension area. That’s why I think it’s the xship bearing.

Hey guys. What happens when a shimano xship bearing goes bad. My chronarch ci4 has started grinding on the retrieve and there’s a knock going on in the reel. I checked my gears and everything there is good. I really believe it’s the xship bearing I just want to make sure.

I’m thinking of getting the 7’2 mh for jigs and the 7’2 glass for chatters and a 6’10 m for trigs to start then I will try to add more. I haven’t used many high end rods so I don’t know what to expect. And I can’t even go somewhere to put the rod in my hands which is fustrating. What other rod series around this price that are worth considering

I’m looking for additional info on this series of rods. I really like how they look and I am thinking about getting some. How do these compare to others in the price point?

Has anyone used this rod for chatterbaits. I have a Dobyns 736 glass that I don’t like because of the balance. I have a swing fire but the rod is too soft to set the hook. I like the glass action of the Dobyns for hook ups but it just don’t feel quite right. Hard to describe. Thanks in advance. Good fishing! Also are there any other glass options that are good and have some sort of cork handle?

I’m trying to choose between these two rods for chatterbait fishing. I’ve used the dobyns glass and didn’t like the physical weight of the rod. I’ve held both the 7’4 mh legend glass and the swing fire and both feel great in hand. I really like these rods and I’m trying to come to a conclusion. My biggest concern is hook up ratio Im looking for people who have used these rods for chatterbaits. Thanks in advance

Just purchased a shimano conquest hg and I'm wondering will I see an increase in performance by doing a spool bearing upgrade. If so which bearings should I get. Thanks in advance

Hey guys I'm looking for a new chatterbait reel. Distance is extremely important because I primarily fish from the bank. I don't have a budget. With that said I have been looking at the Chronarch mgl, metanium mgl, and the daiwa steez A. If there are any other suggestions feel free to add them. I'm really just looking at Shimano and daiwa. Anybody who has been to a Bassmaster elite series event do they sale lures there. Looking to pick up one evergreen jackhammer but do not want to have to go online for one lure. but i will be at an elite series event in a couple of days.

Need help deciding on which rod to choose for chatterbaits. These I'm biased to st croix but the don't have the 7'3 heavy. My question is do I really need the heavy powe or will the mh be enough. Also how do these rods compare by performance and quality

I normally use zman custom chatterbaits from tw. but i tried the new freedoms and my hookup ratio is 0 percent compared to about 60 percent like normal i use a mh moderate fast g loomis e6x. I really want to take my ratio to 90 % but i have trouble keeping fish on the hook. what kind of glass crank rod do you use. What action and power

Hey I'm a young fisherman and I love shimano reels. I have a 13 met and it's my favorite. I want to know how is the Calcutta conquest. Chatterbaits are my favorite and I was wondering will a Calcutta conquest be better for chatterbaits than the metanium. Since I throw chatterbaits 50 % of the time I would like to have the absolute best reel for it. Thanks in advance
