  1. well this weekend i broke down and bought me a new boat. I bought a new lund 1625 rebel xl ss. http://lundboats.com/rebel_2008.html Just wondering what type and size anchor i should require. Boat will be used in a few rivers near here along with inland lakes and lake michigan and i got an electric anchor winch from minnkota with the boat.
  2. omg i thought 299 was expensive man im sorry!!!! Looks like i should invest in a bike or something!!! I know isen't insane I was looking at msn autos and in southern ca it already $3.999/10 a ga I'm thinking about a motercycle for work... 8-) I too am thinking of getting motorcycle for the gas savings. I drive a 3/4 ton chevy truck everywhere and it gets expensive at 12mpg. anything 4wd will suck down the gas.
  3. Nope not that i know of. Just alot of gills, some dink bass, and some whopping *** perch you catch in the winter only. IMPOSSIBLE to catch in the summer.
  4. Fished this lil local lake for a couple years now. Fished it pretty heavy for gills since barely any one else does, and it always produces good fish. Well today i caught some of the biggest gills ive ever seen. Our biggest was 10.5" (crappy shot with the tape) and our average was aroudn 8" and 1 pound. The 10.5 tipped the scale at 1.87 pounds. He'll be a good eater. ;D (a couple dinks got gut hooked, had to keep em)
  5. does the boat sit outside uncovered?
  6. I tend to try and help out the people that are ahead of me in "line". Some people get all pissy when ya try to give em a hand though.
  7. Well i found a guy that owns a company who had these made for his own personal wedding. He said hed give me a good deal at 3 bucks a piece including hook (or key chain) and a plastic "rapala like" case to keep kids fingers outta the hooks. The picture he sent was from his wedding.
  8. Well most people have seed packets or disposable cameras or the like. We are having trouble finding a place to make them without a minimum order of 500-1000 units. Anyone have any suggestions or are there any small time tackle makers that wanna help us out. We thought a lipless crank bait would be neat or a crankbait or some sort. We would like the side of it to have our names and date of the wedding. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys.
  9. Looks like something new as i flip through my BPS catalog.....anyone use or have any experience with it?
  10. All i caught was one hell of a sun burn. > I fished shallow, deep, plastics, crankbaits, jerk baits, spinner baits, and even threw some topwater. Alot of the structure on this lake is pads, and since its so early there were none. Another factor was i think the lake is FLOODED bad. Any suggestions on what i coulda done differently? I even tried to get some gills and got absolutly nothin.
  11. thanks for the input guys. Ill pick up a few sammy 100's and a few zara spooks and give it a try. thanks a bunch.
  12. Went to miejer and decided to browse the fishing isle. To my suprise it was very empty. Alot of the shelves were empty liek no rapala cranks or yum plastics, or berkley plastics. On the way out i peeked in the clearance isle, and all the tackle that was missing was marked down 50-90% off. I was stoked. i bought about 30 bucks worth and got quiet a bit of takle. My reciept said i saved a total of 49 bucks. what a deal! ;D ;D dunno if its all miejers, or just mine. If i were you guys id at least go look. 8-)
  13. What type of color combinations do you think would work. Gonna pick up a sammy in that chart white colors. What about other colors, do you guy suggest natural shad patters?
  14. What type: lews pencil plug BPS XPS walker LC sammy Zara Spook Rapala skitter walk Never fished these type of baits yet. Looking for color suggestions also. I fish clear deep spring fed lakes a few merky river fed lakes, and one swift current river thats pretty murky. Thats for all comments guys.
  15. I was at BPS in gurnee mills last week, and they had a HUGE selection of these. Seemed like they were all randomly paired up. I was diggin through em for awhile before my girlfriend carted me off. hahah
