  7. I'm looking to buy a boat that has a Lowrance Depth Finder up front and no unit at the console. The one unit is OK for now, but doesn't give the water temperature. Does anyone know of some kind of unit/device :-/ where I could drop a sensor in the water and get the water temperature. When the money is right I will be buying 2 new Fish Finders w/GPS and I want have this problem. Looking for a temporary solution. THANKS
  8. I'm pushing a 17ft. Tracker. When I first got it a year ago it ran fine. Just started acting up. I appreciate the tips. I'll get to working on it right away. Thanks Fellows.
  9. I have a 99 Mercury 2-stroke (40 HP). Starts up instantly and idles fine. The problem is when I give it gas it doesn't want to go. I can only get up to 15 mph even though the throtlle is pegged wide open. I can push the choke in and it will take off as if it going to run normal, but it will slow again. I've had the carbs broken down and cleaned, changed the plugs and installed a new fuel filter. I even drained most of the gas out and put in 93 octane along with Seafoam. Still the same. Any ideas what to do next?
  10. Need help. I currently own a 17 ft. aluminum boat. I mostly fish smaller bodies of water to include lakes with a lot of standing timber and stumps. I like having the aluminum boat when around all the stumps. I'm looking to purchase a little bigger boat (18-20 ft). I also like to fish the sound around the outer banks. I would like a Skiff or some type of center console. I just wander if they will hold up if I were to run up on a stump. Should I just buy a larger aluminum boat (Tracker, Fisher, etc.) and take it in the saltwater? Thanks!
