  1. Thanks for the reply. I purchased two of the Carbonlite combos during the sale. I haven't fished with them yet, but have spooled them up and practiced with some light weights. So far I love them!! Only time will tell. Hard to beat the pro qualifier for the money though. I will probably try out a pro qualifier 2 soon.

  3. I have read that Carbonlite combos are sold at such a low price due to them having cheaper internal parts. I have noticed that the item #'s on them do not match any other Carbonlite combos that BPS sells online. The other individual rods and reels listed in the flyer match the item #'s listed online. Does anyone have any further info on this?
  4. Found those at my Walmart also but no information on the web. I believe they were geared 5.4:1. Definitely curious to see more info or some reviews on it. I also agree, for the money the Black Max can't hardly be beaten.
  5. Measured today and it is 48" at the bottom of the rear transom.
  6. Thanks for the info. I too want to make sure that whatever I do is not making things unsafe. I'll make some more measurements and make sure. Also I'll try to put up a photo of the boat as well.
  7. So you feel that a 16' with over a 60" beam would be too narrow. I have found several models with the same specs that tracker made with casting platforms for bass fishing.
  8. I have a 1991 Bass Tracker Pro 16. It's the Panfish model. Most of the ones I have found are bass models. I was lucky enough to acquire this boat for free from family. It has a 40hp Evinrude outboard, runs great. I'm looking to modify it by building casting decks on the front and back to bass fish. Also looking to add storage and possibly put a permanent gas tank in the back. I have looked and looked for someone else who has done this with no luck. (At least with the Panfish model, found plenty of Jon boat mods) Any thoughts or info would be greatly appreciated. If there is a thread already for this please direct me in that direction as well. Thanks!!
  9. I have a 1991 Pro 16. I am also looking to do the same thing. Did you ever find anymore information or have pictures of what you did?
