New to Bass Boats
I started looking around the web at used bass boats for the upcoming season. What are some good things to look for when purchasing a boat? What makes a boat a good buy or a bust?

Tube on a Jig - Need Ideas
I have fished tubes for smallmouth before. I fish a brand called Snapback! They are super durable and most importantly, the float. I paired the tube on a wrecking ball jig so it can move around and always be in a feeding position.

Ultra Light lures
I have had luck on very small rapala crankbaits for bass and crappie. I also have had luck on black rooster tails with a silver blade when fishing for trout.

When is Bass Pro Shops best fishing sale?
The Spring Classic is the best time to buy at Bass Pro. But check out Tackle Warehouse. They have better prices all year around with a much wider selection. Hope this helps!

Soft plastics in boxes
Plano makes an XL stowaway box that is much wider and deeper. Great for soft plastics. If not a one gallon Ziploc will do the trick as well!

Hello!
Hello, I just finished my first season fishing competitively and as a way to improve I thought I would join this page! I created a local fishing club and held a tournament to raise money for a food bank in my town. I cant wait to learn more ( maybe teach a little too) and expand the club to spread the sport of fishing! Tight Lines and Happy New Year Collin Fiske

2nd Year as BPS Local Pro!
You could talk about how you don't necessarily need all the fancy gear to get up at dawn with your dad or grandfather and go and catch some fish. Explain some very basic techniques that would work to catch fish in any conditions, but keep it more about spending time with families and creating moments. Some of my favorite fishing moments are with my grandfather eating PB+J and catching sunfish.

RFC
I just wanted to take a second to introduce a club that I had started in the beginning of the year. Originally, we started out as an Instagram page as a way to share catches, lures and other fishing information but by the end of the season we held a tournament to raise money for a local food pantry. As a goal for the upcoming year, we are trying to expand and continue spreading the sport of fishing! To learn more join our Facebook group and Instagram page. We would love to have daily discussions on everything fishing! https://www.facebook.com/groups/1502547986727561/ https://www.instagram.com/redneckfishingclub/ Thanks, Tight lines RFC

What line should I buy?
I learned how to use baitcasting reels on braid. I do suggest whatever line you end up choosing, create a monofilament backing by filling your spool with some cheap mono first, then you can connect your more expensive braid or fluoro to the rest of your spool. This way you can spend less on expensive lines.

Two Reel Recommendations, Please
I love the Quantum PT spinning reel. it retails at 99.99 and hands down is the smoothest spinning reel I have ever used. If you are looking for a cheaper option, I also use a Pfleuger Presidential. I have had it now for a couple years and it casts very smooth for a reel under 50$. For throwing swim baits a Lew's Super Duty will be plenty. I personally use a Shimano Curado 300 but fish with guys who will die by their Lew's reels.

Soft Plastics Rod
If you plan on fishing heavier cover than MH is the way to go. If you are fishing more open water I like using a M power for the extra sensitivity. Find a rod with fast action and you should be all set!

Setup for Revo S and SX?
I use a Veritas Winch Cranking rod paired with my SX. I run 12lb fluorocarbon as well.

Help I am having Reel trouble
At the end of the season, I bought a Lew's combo on sale. After using for a month or two the line guide on the front of the reel is stuck all the way to the right. It was going to cost like 90 to get it all shipped and fixed. Was wondering if anyone knew a reel mech who could do it for cheaper! ( or knew how I can fix it myself)
