What happens if I continue fishing without the ring? what can happen??

Recently the top guide of my casting rod's ring fell out of the guide, should I be concerned about my line (30# braid) rubbing up against it? Will it eventually break the line at all? Any homemade fixes? Thanks

I was planning a fishing trip with my father tomorrow(July 24th), and I heard about moon phases affecting fishing..... They say tomorrow is a "Poor" day to fish. Should i be concerned about not catching anything?

I am a very hefty braid user and was wondering when should I respool my braid? I've been using the same spool of braid for about 2-3 months now and have not had a problem yet, should I be concerned about anything? The braid I use is Power Pro 30lb braid.

Thanks mike but do you think 10 lb fluoro is enough for jigs? and have u broken off any at all?

I recently purchased some P-Line fluoroclear co-polymer 10 lb test line. I wanted to test it out on some jigs for largemouth bass, and have heard many bad reviews about it. Has anyone had a problem with this line before? I usually use braided line when fishing with jigs but kinda wanna try some fluorocarbon. Should I stick with braid?

I'm not sure if it's worth it though, the reel only being 40$ and I fish quite often every week now that it is summer, would wd 40 work as a lubricant?

do you know any household products that can be used as a lubricant? And I'm kind of worried about breaking the reel because I am not experienced with opening reels and reassembling >_< the problem only persists when pulling drag very slowly

what do you recommend me doing to ensure I solve the issue?

Hello everyone, Recently I bought a new baitcaster (Kastking Royale Legend). Everything was working fine, no funny noises or anything. Then I dropped the reel into lake, and now it makes a weird squealing noise almost like plastic rubbing onto plastic. ONLY HAPPENS WHEN PULLING DRAG SLOWLY. Hey guys, Going on a fishing trip in Tennessee tomorrow, and I decided to spool my baitcaster with braid. Usually I use braid on my spinning reels, but this time I decided to use it on my baitcaster. Anyways I totally forgot to put backing on my baitcaster before spooling the braid. I spooled the braid almost filling the spool. Will there be a problem or am I ok? Thanks

Hey! A weeks ago, I was messing with my baitcasters internal braking system, and I popped some caps out, then when I put the spool back on, and tried to reel and let line out it would be really bumpy I have a pic of the inside. Please tell me how 2 fix? XD I'm a noob

took off all the line on my spool and its still bumpy

it is a really old real XD bass pro ETX 1000 lpha and I was going to let my little cousin use it so I was trying to use glenns recommended settings for someone new, when I opened it I popped 3 brakes loose and 3 still intact. did not drop the spool, and if I did I'm on carpet ;-;

no I didn't I changed my brake settings around and then it started happening, before I use to take the cap off without touching the brake and when I reassembled it, it was perfectly fine

I think its the spool.... because when I pull line out its bumpy and the spool shakes from right to left when I reel or pull line out
