I want to start by saying I don't know much about fly fishing but many of my friends fly fish for carp. My question is what kind of fly rod/reel combo should I buy to start catching carp and what type of flies and colors should I get also what line? I'll be fishing ponds and reservoirs for common carp. I'm new to this I I don't want to break the bank maybe 100 bucks for a combo unless that's not enough lol. I have a bass pro near me so if you could recommend one that they might sell. Thanks

I'm looking to buy a new casting rod in the 150-200 dollar range. I was thinking the shimano crucial split grip, any reviews? I want to use it for most of my bass fishing i know one rod won't sufficiently cover everything but that's what I'm doing so should I get a med hvy or med fast action? Also how would the avid x compare to the crucial?

Anybody ever used any cousins rods? I've heard they are way under rated but I wanted more opinions before I tried them out. I'm looking to get a 7 ft med hvy. How does this rid pair up to other rods? If anyone could compare it to the avid x?

Im looking to purchase a kayak for fishing ponds and maybe the bay a little(when its real calm) and am not sure what to get. i am new to buying kayaks although i have been in one many times. i dont have much to spend and im not looking for a big expensive fishing kayak i want a sit on top kayak and have about 300 dollars. ik its not a lot of money ill buy used. and im about 6 foot 145 pounds so im not sure what size kayak to get
