There should be a thread for posting social media accounts. Instagram, twitter, Facebook etc... For those willing to post there accounts I'd love to check them out and see what the people on this site are catching.

I am going to have alot of opportunitys to fish lake of the clouds in Canadian lakes. Hopefully it's good. I have fished chippewa lake before once I believe. Also if any of you guys have instagram accounts you should post them. I like seeing michigan based account that post their catches!

I'm from the grand rapids area. Fish the Flat and the Grand river alot and do alot of pond hopping for largemouth and pike. Anyone ever fished canadian lakes up near big rapids?

I found this fish about a year ago and have thought about it ever since. I have no clue what kind of fish it is and it's driving me crazy. Found in michigan. Anyone have any idea??

Caught my personal best on a size 10 silver xrap this winter.

Also one quick question... what would be a good rod to pair this with? I have it on a 7' medium action veritas that I had. Would that be a decent cranking rod? I'd rather not buy another rod unless I had too

I have been fishing for a few years now and have aquired a decent selection of spinnerbaits. I've tried them many times but have never had great sucess. Any tips or techniques you would recommend for someone just getting surious about spinnerbait fishing. I am also very curious about spinnerbaits as a pre spawn technique. What gear is ideal for spinnerbait fishing. How do you guys feel about trailers on spinnerbaits? Do you use them? Do they make a difference?

Thank you evertone for your replies! I've tried the reel out in some open water now and decided it's slow but not to slow. It will be perfect for spinnerbaits and cranks imo. It will help me keep a slow presentation in the colder months instead of having to reel painfully slow with a higher gear ratio reel. Thanks for the help. I would have bought a higher gear ratio but it was the only one they had left and I got it for nearly half off.

Would a lower gear ratio making fishing spinnerbaits/chatterbaits more challenging or is it something that can still be accomplished with a 5.1:1

I recently got a great deal on a Lews Speed Spool bb1 but the only one they had left was in a 5.1:1 gear ratio. I bought it thinking that even if 5.1:1 is to slow id be able to sell it and turn a profit. I really like the reel this far but i am concerned about the gear ratio. Is this gear ratio to slow for crank baits, swim baits and spinner baits? Or would I be able to make a 5.1:1 gear ratio work even though its not ideal. Please help!
