  2. I have a Humminbird PiranhaMax 160 portable fish finder that is maybe 6 years old. It worked great until I left it out in the cold last winter for a few months and it won't even turn on. I thought maybe the battery in my boat wasn't working but I figured that the harsh cold temperatures ruined it. It can get very cold up here in MN and I totally forgot about it. Does anyone know if it can still be fixed? I'm guessing that the electronics got ruined. I'm thinking about finding a new depth finder but am debating on the brands between Garmin, Lowrance, and Humminbird. I've read some great articles on here but just don't know where to start. I have a budget of anything between $100-$300 right now. Any input would be great!

  4. Hello everyone, I'm a newbie here from the rural area of MN. I have been fishing for about 13 years but I don't think I know much yet until I'm came across this website. I'm learning lots of new things everyday. I would like to fish at Mille Lacs Lake someday but it's probably too big of a goal for me right now. I'm just learning how to fish on small lakes around my area. I'm hoping to gain some insights on using different fishing lures and finding a good depth finder. I never really caught any big bass yet. Love the articles on here- great stuff. Cannot wait until season opener in May!
