Record Bass
here in MD i believe the record bass and some panfish record was in a farm pond

Brain storming lure concept
id say use the claws of a chunk trailer or some huge ribbon worm tails as the craw claws. thats what i did. add some paddles near the claws too

another epic "colors" discussion
i know, i know, i started a discussion about the whole bluegill color think but do you think color matters? what are your most productive colors? what colors that youve tried did no good for you at all? 1)i say yes it does matter, but not as much as things like action or presentation. lures come in so many colors but its good to have a variety but not a whole wizard of oz rainbow full. 2)Greens, Chartreuse and Black/red Flake 3)i bought a whole thing of junebug worms even though i hear its an amazing color and havent had any luck. i bet its just my presentation. im just looking for opinions, mainly on what works best

bigger bass or more bass?
i always carry pan jigs with me so when im getting skunked (not litterally, just not catchin the bass) i can catch atleast something
-
creatures
ill take one later but it looks like a power craw body with 2 huge swirly tails from the end of powerbait grubs and 2 smaller ones in the back from srike king 3x worms im making another one with some lizards limbs and a tube. The creature above is my stained water creature because its black/red flake body with chartreuse claws and huge lizard/craw profile. the one im makeing is for a medium to clear water watermelon lure.

What bait was your largest bass caught on?
4-5 lb on a rebel popr specifically the ol bass one
-
ATTRACTANTS
i dont use taste or scent attractants, but i use worm rattles for lizards, creatures, worms, etc. a tube rattle just doesnt fit in a skinny worm.

line "rules"
I don't think "rules" is the right word. You can catch large fish on very light line. I like to pick line by what type of cover I am fishing and what bait I am using. I don't ever worry about catching too big a fish for the line I am using ;D Open clear water I use 6 or 8 lb copoly. Fishing frogs on top of thick weeds I use 20 or 50 lb braid. I actually just started using the 50 lb this past year and it may be a little over kill for my type of fishing. I never had any trouble witht the 20. I will use 15 lb copoly for spinner baits or rat-l-traps. I hope this helps Tight lines thanks. im always worried im gonna tie on my $10 crystal minnow on 12 lb test and loose it to a huge bass. i think i will try 17 or 20lb

line "rules"
what are the rules when using line as in how heavy of a fish can x lb test of line hold?
-
storm
man i neeed the slab in bluegill, or mabey some other lure
-
bigger bass or more bass?
that is how i view fishing. better a bunch of medium size fish than no fish at all.
-
bigger bass or more bass?
whats better, quality or quantity to you? id have to say more bass. bigger ones are fun but i dont care what size, ill go for any. usually i catch only 1-3 3lb fish or multiple (3+) 1-2 lb'ers, never a combination of both.

SITUATION
a lure that gives off good vibration, say a lizard, creature, rattling crank, etc
-
Crappie Jigheads
try bending the shank of the jig hook and rig the bait weedless
-
what for bluegill?
i have a tiny panfish popper. will that work?
-
bluegill colors
for baitfish imitatoring lures like crankbaits, jerkbaits, and swimbaits i think color matters more but for worms, lizards, tubes and crayfish, pretty much anything goes. the greens (like watermelon and grn pumpkin), chartreuse, and black/red flake are my favorite but a junebug, regular pumpkin, and pearl probably work equaly well.

what for bluegill?
what should i use to catch the bluegill (in terms of artificials)? insect mimmicing lures?
