To All My Memphis Pond Hoppers!
Yep, I wanted to share what caught the bass. Pics alone are only of value to me, pics with details are of value to all.

To All My Memphis Pond Hoppers!
Went to grove park today for the first time. Slow day, only had one bite, but beat my personal best so I'm a super happy camper. Does anyone fish that pond directly next to the main grove park pond? It looks very shallow. A lot of cover, but most of the vegetation appears to be brown/dead.

North or south? I explored the entire south (of boat ramp) shoreline and didn't see anything good last wkend.

Used the LH yr round when I lived in south Florida! Great action on those things. Only complaint is some of them have weak leg joints and will get pulled out after a long battle(s). I have several and has only happened to one of the combat frogs, so don't know if that was just a lemon. LOVE frog fishing.

To All My Memphis Pond Hoppers!
I spent 5hrs at Glenn springs (7-12pm). North of the store is clear water and south is cloudy. Rented one of their little Jon boats with a 5hp and thought I'd be severely undergunned, but soon realize it's not safe to go much faster than a fast idle as there are hundreds of stumps in the water. Threw a variety of baits, mostly at banks and some around timbers. It was tough without a trolling motor and an indecisive wind. Only caught 1, but it's my first bass in Tennessee and I couldn't be happier! By 10am the lake was too small for the amount of boats out there. Plan to spend some time pond hopping at the local joints in the future weekends.

Has anyone tried the rockyford pond at the end of whitten rd? The water was very cloudy and I've seen tons of turtle in there and what looked like a very large goldfish (koi??). Does that pond hold large mouth bass?

To All My Memphis Pond Hoppers!
Hey all, I just spent hours reading this thread from pg1. Moved to Bartlett from south Florida (born/raised) in July 2014. Spent most of my days fishing offshore, but when it was storming, I'd fish inshore (very similar to bass fishing) and if too windy, freshwater. Fishing is a part of my DNA (and I remain the southeast moderator for the Florida sportsman forum to keep current on reports and Intel for when I visit 2-3 times a year). I've fished both fresh and saltwater tournaments and very much want to get back to where it all started, freshwater. Such a great thread, thank you all for contributing. All I needed to know was that there ARE LMB in the area, now I can try without losing hope that there are none. I will be contributing here soon, just ordered a lot of new gear. Looking forward to more reports and contributing myself. Even if you guys are out and get skunked, it's good for the rest of us to know as it could increase our chances of actually "catching" (vs "fishing" and getting skunked). Long
