So Yall Want To Learn Toledo Bend?
Ya'll keep saying it was tough but seems like you did decent for the conditions! We fished Mill Creek both Saturday and half day Sunday. Had trouble with the wind Saturday so had to duck up into the small pockets. Caught 4 with two being small dinks, the other 2 larger dinks at maybe a pound. Had two different people tell us they wore them out on the haygrass with flukes and by punching. We don't have punching rigs so Sunday we fished the mats with flukes and swimbaits and caught 4 10 inch fish. Between the weather conditions and not knowing the lake, we had a tough time!

So Yall Want To Learn Toledo Bend?
First of all, what is haygrass? We got down to the bend finally late this morning and launched at Joes 944, caught one and missed one! May have done better had we had a better knowledge of where to run and where not to run. This place is hugely intimidating! This "bayou" or whatever we were in is bigger than some of our lakes in North Louisiana. I think tomorrow we plan to check out Indian Creek, Buck Creek and maybe Sandy Creek.

So Yall Want To Learn Toledo Bend?
Being in a 17ft boat, that doesn't look like our first couple days will be much fun!

So Yall Want To Learn Toledo Bend?
We will be staying at Harborlight, but had planned to fish a little further south simply because the one time I have fished TB, it was out of S. TB State Park. We are open to anything though! Heck, I may even keep a crappie rod in the boat just in case! Mainly going after bass though!

So Yall Want To Learn Toledo Bend?
We will be coming to South Toledo this weekend. We are in a small 17ft bass boat so running the big lake is probably out of the question. We do not have a problem trailering wherever we want to fish rather than run the lake. Any help with places to launch, places and patterns to fish would be awesome! I promise to post a report when we get back. I have read through this thread and understand the bigger fish are usually caught in deeper water. What stage is the spawn in on the southern part of the lake?
