  2. I have a question for all of you swim bait guys. I am new to swim bait fishing i do not know much about it and all i have right now is a River2Sea S-Waver which i guess technically is a glide bait but it is fairly close in size which was my concern if i could catch bass on that size bait in my area and yes i know the action is different. But i wanted to try get a 6" Huddleston and i had a question on choosing the color because i live in an area where we do not have trout in the lakes we just have your normal bluegill and crappie. I saw there is baby bass, shad, perch, and a couple other colors the baits come in but i do not know what i should choose and if some are for sure better than others so any help would be nice! Thanks, Fogle
  3. I wanted to know if anyone could help me out with some tips on targeting some giants. The lake i fish this year has already had a few bass over 10 pounds caught and in the last 5 years i know of a couple bass being caught over 13 and one over 14. I also caught my PB this year out of that lake i was a little upset the fish had already spawned but it was still 9 pounds 13 ounces which was awesome and i caught that on a KVD 2.5 in Gizzard Shad. This lake is a shallow lake and only a little bigger than 100 acres with only a couple deeper areas where most the bigger fish seem to hangout (deeper area is around 20 feet deep). Also the bottom of the lake isn't very rocky and to my knowledge not much underwater structure sort of a featureless lake. I have kind of figured out where about the fish hangout (i think) but i just wanted to know if anyone could give tips on lures to target just those big fish because i want to hit that DD bass.
  4. I am sure there will be many different answers but i was looking into buying a new reel and wanted to know some opinions on reels under $200
  5. I am fairly new to using a baitcaster i started out with a cheap combo from walmart now i recently got a Duckett Ghost and Lew's Speed Spool LFS. My question is I got the Speed spool for $100 and this reel has 9SS + 1RB Ball bearings I have seen other reels around the same price i have looked into buying such as Shimano Casitas 150 Casting Reel This reel has 4BB + 1RB Ball bearings. Will having 5 less ball bearings effect how smooth the reel is? And does Shimano use higher quality parts and that's why it reflects on the price? Any help would be nice. Thanks
  6. Anyone have any opinions on the Humminbird Helix 7 Di this is what i had planned on buying and putting on the front of my boat for now because most of the lakes i would be fishing in NOVA are electric only lakes and maybe next year get one with Side Imaging for the driver for the seldom times i go to a lake i can use a gas engine.

  10. I am having difficulties fishing an area where i know there are big smallmouth i have caught a couple but it is tough. I am fishing shallow water i can wade in but i have found a drop off that drops around 10-12 feet like in this picture but at the bottom is either a brush pile, a tree or something that i keep getting hung up in i have tried things like senkos and other weedless options but the water is moving to fast for it to sink and texas rigs the weight in getting hung up. Any help would be nice! Thanks
