Boated vs non boated
I think an argument could be made that Shore Fishermen learn to let the bait soak and not be so quick to real in and fire at the next available target because their options are limited ..... A quality that leaves me at times and for that, my catch rate suffers.

Boated vs non boated
30 years ago, shore fishermen where a big part of our club tournaments. Our river system had many so called "Honey Holes" that fished best from shore .... silence can be deadly! Needless to say, the shore fishermen where tough to beat.

Boated vs non boated
From a boat ..... All the water is available. From a boat ..... All the fish are available. From a boat ..... All techniques come into play. Your ability to handle a line and lure makes no difference if you stand on land or in a boat.

Rules of Your Lake
I agree totally A-Jay. It puts a big smile on my face when I have a good day (doesn't have to be great) catching quality smallies in the heat of summer. To me, this is the hardest part of bass fishing.

Does anyone use a snap swivel on their lines permanently?
No snap swivels unless I throw an In-Line Spinner. I will use a barrel swivel 12"-24" up the line for a little added weight and line twist prevention on a few soft plastic techniques.
-
What do you do that nobody else does?
Great rig for Lake Trout.
