  1. Do you think firetiger has become a bit outdated, or does it still have its place
  2. What is your favorite squarebill brand in production that has a killer firetiger pattern
  3. When do you use the 7 inch over the ol monster
  4. I was looking back at the history of bass fishing and noticed anglers were using worms in the 6–8 inch and 8–11 inch range. I’m curious — were they mostly using straight tails, curly tails, or something else back then? And which brands were the most common at the time?
  5. Late fall vs ice out——- So let’s say we’re talking water temps of 55° and below — would you say the fishing styles stay pretty similar between late fall and early ice-out? For example, are baits like a bladed jig, blade bait, or lipless crank still effective in both periods, or do you adjust your approach once it transitions out of winter? I know baitfish patterns play a big role in the fall, but I’m curious if lure selection or overall presentation changes much between those two windows.
  6. So I haven’t been paying much attention to the market but seen a tn70 lipless was 21 dollars is that the normal price for this seems more than normal
  7. I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately. I can catch fish consistently in several different ways, including bigger ones, and I’ve really narrowed it down to 3 main styles that work for me. The problem is, I find myself constantly switching back and forth between them because I think one might be better at the moment… but honestly, most of the time it ends up being about the same. So here’s my question: at what point do you stop changing baits all the time and just stick to the system you know works for you? I do want to get better, but it feels like every time I turn around there’s a “new way” to do something. A good example is watching some of the best Livescopers like Drew and Jacob—they’ve completely cut crankbaits out of their tournament arsenal and adapted their style. At the same time, I don’t want to waste energy constantly re-rigging, swapping line, or second-guessing myself. That gets old quick. Ideally, I’d like to lock into what’s best for me, and then maybe add a bait or two here and there when it truly makes sense. Do you guys focus on perfecting your core system, or do you constantly experiment with the newest methods? Where’s the balance?
  8. I’ve never ever tried them can imagine them being better than the damiki since your further away what’s to shallow for them to be effective?
  9. I live in the Midwest, where most of our lakes are bluegill- and crappie-based for baitfish. Some lakes do have shad, but the majority rely on bluegill and crappie. Personally, I rarely catch fish deeper than 18 feet—occasionally in 20+—but that’s not common. I use LiveScope along with more “modern baits” like a Damiki rig, but I’m curious if I’m missing out by not throwing baits such as the Nichols flutter spoon or a Blade Runner jigging spoon. I struggle to see how those would outperform something like a minnow or Damiki rig with LiveScope, but maybe I’m overlooking something, and I’d like to hear your perspective.
  10. This is the problem I’ve done this and was looking to undo it and heard Aaron martens used to buy bags for it
  11. Should I get a worm binder or individual plastic bags to store loose plastics (like worms, Rage Bugs, etc.)? If I go with plastic bags, what are good sizes for 10-inch worms or similar plastics
  12. MEGABASS I × I SHAD TYPE-3 (3–5 ft) MEGABASS SR-X GRIFFON (3rd Generation) (6 ft) MEGABASS SUPER-Z Z1 (10 ft) What are some reasonably priced baits, around $15 or less, that offer similar action to the ones listed above?
  13. Help me understand how to best utilize a Neko rig. I know the setup and how it’s fished, but I don’t fully understand where it shines. For example, when would it be a better choice than a drop shot?
  14. I’m in kind of a tricky spot. I want to keep improving as much as possible because when I fish tournaments, I take them seriously. Honestly, I feel like I’ve got my system dialed in, but my thought was to maybe start experimenting with different styles to build on what I already do. The other option is to just stick with my system and focus on fine-tuning the small details within it. What do you guys think?
  15. I live in Iowa and with a busy job/hard water season I don’t get to fish as much as I’d like, but I love it and always try to stay on top of my game. My question is this: once you’ve figured out what works for you, how often do you try and add in new techniques or baits? and if you don’t what do you do during your fishing downtime? Do you just put it on the back burner until next season, do you stay involved in other ways like studying maps or organizing tackle?
  16. What is your favorite Buzzbait without a skirt so with a horny toad or something similar paired with with
  17. Do you put all on the deck? What’s the rod actions for them?
  18. How do you pack for fall topwater fishing with so many options out there—like a buzzbait, Whopper Plopper, walking bait, or popper? How many rods do you usually bring to cover all of these? I don’t think you can do it effectively with less than three
  19. I agree with this but how about depth don’t think it’s as important?
  20. How many of you base your fishing approach strictly on water clarity? For example, if the water is clear, do you automatically fish deeper, and if visibility is only about a foot, do you stay in the five-foot-or-less range do you stick to that depth if not getting bit?
  21. is there a code for this
  22. I really appreciate your help thank you
  23. Both are brand new I was reading they don’t want to go under 50 percent Garmin 106sv (10”) → ~2.5 amps Garmin LVS34 (Livescope) → ~1.0–1.3 amps Three Xplore 9” units → ~2.8–3 amps each → ~8.5–9 amps Estimated Total Draw: ~11.8–12.8 amps/hour that’s not counting pumps and live wells
  24. I currently have a Helix G3N 10”, a Helix G3N 9”, a Garmin 106 10”, and an LVS34. I haven’t experienced any battery issues so far, but I’ve been considering switching to three 9” Xplore units and removing the Helix units altogether. That would leave my setup as the Garmin 106 with LVS34, plus three 9” Xplore units with MEGA SI and Down Imaging. Right now, I have two Interstate Group 31 AGM batteries wired in parallel. One is dedicated to the motor, and the other runs the bilge, livewell, and all electronics. Do you think I’ll run into battery issues?
