Flipping & Pitchin line
Just picked up a new Gloomis 7 5 heavy for flipping and pitching. Trying to find new line for this setup, preferably 15-20 lb FC. been having issues lately with my Invizx & Red label memory and strength so I’m trying to find a new line to try out. Any suggestions would help. Reel is a curado if that helps. Thanks, mikk

Getting a new bait caster.. Suggestions please
finally got access to a computer to get back on here.. I ended up with the lews speed spool tournament because I really liked the reel and just felt solid to me. I played with it for about an hour a half before I got it. also to go with it I ended up with a dobyns fury rod, 7' jig & texas rig version. took me about 3 hours to decide on a rod but this one was in the budget, had good reviews and just felt the best to me. used it about 4 days now total, and I love the setup. so far 6 fish with the combo and absolutely in love.

Fishing a new pond tomorrow..
so tomorrow im fishing a local pond that I've never been to. I know it produces big fish from friends pictures. I've heard water clarity lately is around 2 ft. pretty weedy pond with not a whole lot of down trees or lily pads from what ive been told. What other lures should I try? im new to bass fishing and still unsure about a lot. im thinking about trying out a jig and pig , spinner bait/chatterbait , and lipless cranks, sankos while im there. I just picked up some robo worms to try out also. Its been about 105-110 every day if that makes a difference to you guys.

What line for plastics & jigs on a bait caster?
I was thinking braid but was not sure. I enjoy fluoro but the stuff I had before seem to be pretty bad. broke a lot and had just bad luck with it. think it was P line. The only braid locally available to me right now is p line braid, power pro, & suffix 832 I believe. Fluoros available are sun line sniper, seaguar invizx and abrazx, along with some P line stuff. Mono is stren, spider, & p line mainly if I remember correctly. If I were to go braid, what lb would I use? along with mono or fluoro? bass fishing is a whole new game to me and want to get things set up correctly. I can always order online but I am going out to the local place tomorrow with some friends for a day of fishin.

What line for plastics & jigs on a bait caster?
Picking up a new rod and reel tonight (curado & mojo) and was wanting to get some line for it. I'm gonna be running this pole mainly on plastics, but I am not sure what line to use. Most places I fish are heavily covered in weeds ect & are not very clear. New to bass fishing so any tips will help! I've used braid, mono, and Fluro before so I'm no stranger to any.

Getting a new bait caster.. Suggestions please
Out of the two I really really liked the mojo.. Not sure what one to go with tho. I mainly run plastics so I guess the plastics model? Or should I look at a different style one. Mainly looking for a 7 ft rod.

Getting a new bait caster.. Suggestions please
Went to the store and played with some reels, including higher and lower than I'd want to pay. Even tho it's more expensive I think the curado I is what I'm gonna go with. As far as rods.. I liked the Mojo & they had a veritas that I liked also. Is it worth the extra $20 on the mojo? I liked them equally but kind of leaning towards the Abu rod.

What did you not like about the speed stick? Also I was gonna look at the veritas 2.0 along with the mojo. Any other rods in the same price point worth a look? Also so since I mainly use plastics what line should I consider? I'm new to bass fishing and have just been using CXX P line I do believe it's called.

Thanks for the replies & I will look at the diawa reels while I'm there I know they have them! If it makes any difference I'll be pairing this with either a custom speed stik or a Mojo rod

Getting a new bait caster.. Suggestions please
So tomorrow I'm going to a local sportsmans with lots of fishing gear to get my hands on a couple reels. I've got my eye on a Lews speed spool tournament edition because it's on sale and a couple shimanos. Will be looking at reels under $150 (college kid on budget) . Any specific brands I should check out/ look up? Models Ect. This will be replacing my $39 Walmart caster. Anything will be an upgrade for me and would love people's input. Mainly running texas rigs or spinners.

Yeah we have this little fountain things at this pond, it's actually a big park with a pond. these little like filter things that act like fountains in the middle of the pond. Kind of hard to explain. Looks like a mini fountain. (Upper right hard corner of picture) idk what you'd call them, I just heard people call them fountains.

New to bass fishing, need some help. Sorry for long post
I've been on a huge fishing break for years and decided to get back into fishing with bass fishing. I've been watching countless videos, reading articles & have been out every day this last week. I've been going to a pond that I know for a fact it's loaded with bass. Almost everyone I talk to says this year has been rough and not many people are getting anything. This place is pretty nasty with lots of weeds and not very clear water. What should I be looking for when casting on places with down trees and only a few fountains? What kind of lures are recommended for thick cover? I've been running spinner baits, a couple crank baits along with using plastics on Carolina rig or Texas rig. These fish just don't seem interested in what I've been throwing or what other people have been using. The only person I've seen catch anything on is a chatter bait which I have ordered because nobody local carries them. Any tips would be great, honesty just a begginer and I'm doing all the reading and field work i can. Using a cheap bait caster (upgrading on payday) on a Berkeley medium heavy rod with 15lb mono & 10 lb Fluro leader line.
