Flipping & Pitchin line

Featured Replies

Just picked up a new Gloomis 7 5 heavy for flipping and pitching. Trying to find new line for this setup, preferably 15-20 lb FC.

been having issues lately with my Invizx & Red label memory and strength so I’m trying to find a new line to try out. Any suggestions would help.

Reel is a curado if that helps.

Thanks, mikk

For that presentation I use 20# Shooter.

Imho, It has the best abrasion resistance of any flouro line and a perfect fit for what you want to do.

Knot strength is excellent if tied right as most other flouro lines are.

It's a little pricier than others, but you get what you pay for.

12lb or 15lb CXX.  It's co-poly but it works.

I hate to say it though, I usually use 15lb Invizix.  Never had an issue.

Since you mention memory issues, I'd suggest sunline sniper.

I use 17lb Berkley 100% Flourocarbon.

20lb sunline assassin. Shop around and can find it for less than $20 for a 225 yard spool

25lb Berkley trilene big game.. best line I’ve used for flipping.. people gonna say its not sensitive and fish will see it blah blah but never had that problem.. plus your using a 300$ rod sensitivity won’t be a problem..

Abrazx if strength is most important.  Invizx for lowest memory.

Been using both for years, no issues for me.
