  1. Back in '04, the X-Rap came out and I won a club tournament with it. I was ready to put that rear feathered treble on every jerkbait I had. Now it's mainly topwaters and spoons that get the feathers
  2. I grabbed six packs of those mag shakeys. I'll probably do more dragging than shaking, but hey...a steal at $1.
  3. My first JDM reel was a Scorpion 1000 I bought from Brooklyn Bill's Tackke Shop back in '01. Wish I still had them.
  4. Nice. I use 13 Concepts as my 'work trucks', and they get along with my fancy Daiwas just fine. There's been some great reel bargains this year, and that Kastking reel can be shipped for what you paid if you are a lefty. https://www.sportsmans.com/fishing-gear-supplies/casting-reels/kastking-skeet-reese-icon-baitcasting-reel/p/1955830?channel=shopping&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=23812625973&gbraid=0AAAAADvVAnWIal2yWMuCwypMdXIOfplyD&gclid=CjwKCAjw08fSBhA7EiwAfbQTsAfPOWvsp85XMlsVrSP62bLtEAOkIeKHs6hRII-_eVLTuNNaywAIdBoC0FgQAvD_BwE
  5. I can't imagine it would lose effectiveness. Now if your line or urine darkens...we have a problem.
  6. Yeah...I bet he figured it out and just didn't update his thread.
  7. Clear- green is more difficult to see above water.
  8. They are most likely a 'Tennessee handle' and you will need to use electrical tape, or better yet...silicone tape.
  9. Wow...That's crazy you've snapped that many in a short period of time. I actually use gammy's (g-lock for me) because of the thin wire. I've bent up plenty, but haven't snapped one. I want a thin wire for easy penetration while using mono/copoly.

  11. Nice dude...really like mine. So smooth they feel like a belt drive. I have Zillions as well, and these can hang. We live in good times when you can buy a reel of this caliber for a bargain price
  12. Lol...I just happened upon them at Academy- didnt know they were scarse. Just saw 2 of the betkley version on ebay for $65. Some people....
  13. I picked up the last 3 of these from Academy. Berkley even rigged them on a wire so you can see the vibrations in the tentacles.
  14. Do you get a text alert when a new thread is made? You are always a first responder, and you look too young to be retired and live here.
  15. Came here to say the same thing. You need to be standing on box or something to imitate being in a boat.
  16. I'm just referring to their modified Daiwa reels. It's been 8 or 9 years since they have released one, and most think they are done with them.
  17. Any Megabass reel is bringing big coin atm. People are realizing they aren't going to release any more.
  18. Nice work. Jig colors are personal, and why Siebert has like 100 options
  19. Wow! Glad my credit card caught it!
  20. Oops
  21. Nevermind- flash sale over :(.
  22. Want $15 in free tackle? On Academys website, you can create an account. It's handy and keeps track of offers and your cart. Your birthday month, or whatever month you claim as such...you get $15 off a purchsse of $15 or more.
  23. Some do and still purchase locally- my brother is one of them. He gets stuff at the Spring Classic, fishing shows, etc. He likes to shop in person.
