  1. Academy has all the plano pro latch boxes on clearance . Saw TW has several pro latch boxes for 30% off, along with new boxes that appear to be the replacements. Old thin 3700 (3701) is $5.49 right niw at Academy...new model is $14.99. I grabbed 20 old ones, lol...along with several others. https://www.academy.com/search?searchTerm=Plano%20pro%20latch Old 3701 New ⁹
  2. Missing poster! Another 2k+ post member also mussing.
  3. Cheapest I've ever seen these plano boxes. Thin and deep 3700's are $5.49/$5.99. https://www.academy.com/search?searchTerm=Plano%20pro%20latch That h20x premium box I posted a couple days ago is now $8 and change. Academy is also blowing out their rust inhibitor boxes . $2.49 (3700 & 3600) with
  4. Right on...just trying to list all possibilities. Maybe some garage door grease would hide the grind, lol.
  5. Happened to me many years ago. People want to cite grease or incorrect assembly, but I think it can also be screw torque (over/under , uneven torque)
  6. The OG Zillions were super durable...most reels were at that time. It's just a nostalgia thing imo. Next Zillion will most likely be the size of a '24 Tat and dethrone the '16 as the best palming Zillion.
  7. I'd go with a 6.2 gear on that rod, and you can use it for single hook moving baits as well.
  8. Christmas of '22, a few of us bought these 6' M clearance lightning rods. Fun rod to handle.
  9. Academy has their 'premium' bait locker in clearance for $17.97 https://www.academy.com/p/h2ox-premium-bait-locker?sku=black-blue
  10. Can't go wrong with either brand, but you are going heavier than needed. As mentioned, these lines are underrated and you need to shop by diameter.
  11. I'd get the Vanquish...for no reason in particular. I'd get the standard '23 Magsealed model, not the new '26 CE.
  12. Just email Reins.
  13. I'd say the mh+ is fast, and the upper 1/3 of the rod has a nice curve. It's like a loomis 893.5
  14. Farm 13/stick marsh if I'm not going to Mexico. 2.5-3lb average...50 fish a day average according to reports.
  15. After Christmas buys. The USLA AGS for half price @ TW got me. Picked up the 7' ml and h. Check out those shorty 8" handles! JLS received a couple of 7-6 RC's, and I bit 🤷‍♀️. Weighs 3.6oz!
  16. I picked up the ml and h. The ml is 4.09oz and the heavy is 4.45. These rods have veryshort rear grips, so they aren't intended for tip-up baits. I don't think the heavy can handle 2.5oz baits, but I like them regardless.
  17. Early adopters of the split grip ran into balance issues, notably the '05ish Legend Tournament. After holding one of those, I wasnt on board with split grips until years later.
  18. More abrasion resistance with the 15lb...can stray strong even when frayed. Not as nice to use as 12lb, so I only go up if I must.
  19. I'd have bought that b if I ran across it. I had a fleet of BCRs back in '05. They have sensitivity that can still hang.
  20. Ordered a Steez RC from JLS late last week. With shipping and a crappy PayPal exchange rate, total was $580. Just checked tracking (UPS), and it prompted me to pay import fees ($91) to "avoid delays". So that is about 15%.
  21. @MN Fisher YZH and CXX are similar in that both brands underrate their lines significantly. If everyone just used the diameter of line they needed, more would see how strong these lines are 🙅‍♀️💪
  22. Now that it is discontinued, it isn't a "cheap plastic E1 knockoff" anymore. I have 2 in use, and the new Fat Boys I ordered will probably remain in the package as collector items. What just happened 🤷‍♀️
  23. Noticed TW did not have the Fat Boy, and a quick Google search told me Norman Lures has discontinued it. With all the Baby 1 minus baits on ebay going for $16+, I went ahead and ordered some Fat Boys @ $6.29 from Vimage Outdoors. Just a heads up to grab some while you can...only a few places have them
  24. Yes...has the LC eyes.
  25. 'Old timey' lure to me is pre 1980. My pick is the Bagley B1 or B2.
