Cranking set ups (line sizes)
I run 6lb CXX for tiny cranks. 8lb CXX (.012") for most 1/4-3/8oz shallow and medium cranks. 10 or 12lb CXX for wobblers and heavier presentations. 12-16lb fluorocarbon for deep and extra deep cranks. I am factoring in light cover, and will bump up a size when needed.

What lure caught your biggest bass in 2025?
Crazy! I need to move where Florida strain bass live 🤷♀️. That would be a lifetime of monsters here in Oklahoma

3700 Storage Racks.....??
I keep mine on a bookcase. Just stand them up and you can slide out the one you need.

Kayakers why?
I've always had a 2 man...from Bass Hunters to Pelicans. I don't understand wanting a Kayak over a more stable platform. Most Kayaks I see can't be put on top of your Camry.

If you have ever wanted a pair of Ray-Ban Original Wayfarer 2140 glasses (or aviator)- the auction site has a bunch from a few sellers for $37 shipped.

Daiwa 2026 😢
Good! I need to pay off Christmas presents before I order, but I would have gone ahead if JDM stuff was going up on jan 1.

Current experience ordering JDM gear
I'll be ordering in a week or so, but the duties take longer to show up, as you know.

Shaky Head popularity?
Shakey head blew up when KVD used it to win on Lake Lewisville in TX back in '05 (and caught the lake record). He was using a standard jighead and rigging his worm weedless.

Bagley Crankbait question
Looks like a Kill'r B2. I won a WEC version a few days ago.

a mIllIon Ga zIllIon
My thoughts on Zillion models- The '16 Zillions palm the best for me; they have a more narrow frame. Current Zillions have a more refined gearbox, but are noticeably wider and don't palm as well. Current Zillion also has the new 'boost' spool, but I have limited time with it versus the old G1 SV spool. '16 Zilliin did share a frame with the Tatula, but I'm not sure why that matters. Fox body stangs are a favorite, regardless if they had a 4cyl variant. You dig? *I think the Zillion could share the Tat frame once again, because I think the next version ('26?) will be on the Tat 100 frame...minus the dimple on the thumb rest.

Awesome! Won't be your last.

Shimano Chronarch 50E
Shimano could bring back the Curado 50E and Chronarch mg50 and they would sell well...even with the Chronarch's measly 5 bearings.

Flat sided crankbaits?
Ran across this today- The “Tapp” bait was named with a nod to Ronnie Tapp, a successful South Carolina angler. He shared the original design of Knoxville, TN bait maker, Steve Blazer, with some of his North Carolina crankbait aficionados, such as David Wright, David Fritts and Gerald Beck. Then, when Blazer quit making the bait, Wright went to Ed Chambers. Chambers picked up on the design and named it in honor of Ronnie Tapp.

My Speed Trap is a little longer than my Speed N, but the baits seem similar 🤷♀️. Maybe not a "direct knock off", but I don't think Norman named it the 'speed n' by coincidence; I think Norman wanted to compete with the very popular Luhr Jendon Speed Trap

I hope trying a lefty reel works out better for you than it did me. Mine didn't even make it to the lake before I listed it for sale 🤷♀️.

Flat sided crankbaits?
I purchased some Tapp copies, including the Greenfish Tackle version (big g smiley iirc). I'd love to be able to keep the Zoom's around until I'm old. Greenfish

Flat sided crankbaits?
Looove the Tapp. David Fritts used a Tapp in chartreuse/rootbeer to win the '93 Classic on Logan Martin, among other finishes/wins with that particular bait. The Berkley Frittside 9 is a plastic copy of his beloved Tapp.

Floating Jerkbaits
I've never fished an unmodified floating jerkbait. Picked up several OSP Varuna 110's earlier this year, and accidentally ordered the floating model. Guy on TT said the Varuna floater was his #1 producer. Are floaters for more active fish? I dont see how you could work it slow. What is your MO with these baits?

Nice. The X80 jr is the same size as the pointer 65. Should get a lot of bites 👍

8 Bagley B1's and 2 Norman Speed N's. That's it! I've reached some sort of milestone. Never heard of the Speed N's, but they are a direct knock off of the Speed Trap, and that color (bottom left) sold me.

Are you using anything from GOOGAN SQUAD?
The Googan rattling ned worm is a great bait. I bought some on clearance, and it made me a believer. 4.5/5 on Amazon with nearly 17k reviews.
