Have any tips for fishing Lake Murray South Carolina? I fish from a kayak and don't have a depth finder so i only know how to fish docks and shore. Thanks

At one of my old hunt clubs there is a nice sized pond I like to fish at from my kayak, but i have a problem... All the fish are dinks! The largest one I've pulled out was only like 15in! There are plenty of bass to be caught but are just tiny. My guess is that the bass are over populated and there aren't enough bluegill in the pond. There are some weeds, and the pond gets about 15-20 feet deep on the dam side. No pickerel either, just bass and bream. Any guesses on this problem? Thanks

Thanks guys for the tips. Seems like y'all like to use which ever line you feel most comfortable with. Iv'e got people saying braid, mono, floro, and copoly! I want to be able, since i am looking at a heavy, fast action rod, to throw frogs and med sized swimbaits on it too, thats why I was wondering about mono. Thanks

Also I meant to ask: What lb test line should I use. 20?

What line do you use for Carolina Rigs? Never used this technique before and want to try it.
