I hope so. Went yesterday around 11-1pm and it was some awful fishing. Need to stick to the late evenings

Palomar Knot Vs. Improved Clinch Knot
I use either the clinch or improved clinch knot for everything.

What line/knot should I use?
I actually am using a baitcaster more than anything, but I have a spinning rod. I will take the advice on the spinning gear, but what do you suggest for the casting setup?

Yeah I'm hooked! Problem is I have a very very tight schedule. I'm in Drumline and my only free days for fishing are Wednesdays and Sundays. :/

What line/knot should I use?
Getting into bass fishing and I'm not sure what line and especially knot I should use. I'm currently using 10 lb copolymer line. I thought it was straight fluoro but then I got home and read the box lol. The knot I'm using is just a simple overhand knot. Can I get some suggestions for what to use please? I lost a good fish yesterday which would've been my second bass if it wasn't for my terrible knot tying. Thank you!

Sharing my passion
That's awesome man. I've taken my girlfriend catfishing twice. She is very impatient, and of course the days I take her are the ones where the fish aren't wanting anything. I can't wait for her to find the real joy and excitement of catching a fish with me some day.

First Bass Ever!
Man it was perfect conditions for spinnerbaits. Overcast and the wind was starting to pick up. I hope I can catch some more in there. A kid that has been fishing for a few years said that the pond is very hard to catch bass in. I need a good, healthily stocked pond. Thank you for all your help! I'm very big on keeping pictures and collecting memories.

First Bass Ever!
Went fishing today at the pond I described in one of my first posts here and finally caught my first bass! My heart was pounding so fast at the fact that I finally hooked one. http://imgur.com/s0IjikU Thanks to this forum that I'm learning some stuff. Caught him on a white 3/4 oz. spinnerbait.

Pond predicament
Is there any water movement at all? Sometimes static water will cause scum and algae to grow uncontrollably

I can lip the catfish in my pond but if I do it at the lake, them suckers will hurt like hell

Trying Out Bass Fishing Recently
Thank you all so much for the help! I'm going to try all of this. What should I do if I'm fishing around 4pm-7:30pm? What should I use and where should I fish it? Thank you all again!

Ponds
Just use Google Maps and look around. That's what I had to do to see if I could find a pond that I could walk to and sure enough I did. Good luck on finding a spot.

If I can see a school of bream up on the bank, should I try near there?

Trying Out Bass Fishing Recently
I'm a new bass fisherman and have never caught a bass before. I've been watching some bass videos on YouTube trying to learn a thing or two. I have two rods with spinning reels and one with a baitcaster that I don't have down yet haha. I found this new pond that's about a 10 minute walk from my house and it's got bass in it because I've seen someone catch a nice 4 pounder in there on a green lipless crankbait in the middle of a hot July day. Earlier today, my girlfriend and I went down there fishing it with spinnerbaits, shaky heads, and crankbaits. She claimed that something hit her spinnerbait but I think it was just a tree but I could be wrong. Other than that, nothing happened. I don't know what I should do and how I should fish it. I can only fish it from the bank, and only about half of it is accessible. I don't know how I should find the fish and what to use. If anyone could give me some recommendations and advice on how to get started, please feel free to leave it down below. Thank you! I've currently got 10 pound copolymer fluorocarbon-coated line on both of my spinning rods.

New to Bass Fishing and Bass Resources
Hey guys, I'm Avery. I'm a 16 year old from South Carolina. I'm new to bass fishing and pretty much all fishing in itself. Only fish I've ever caught are little bream and about 15 catfish. I am wanting to learn how to bass fish so I thought I'd join here. Hope to meet some people and that this forum helps me. Thanks.
