  1. You're the second person that's recommended the Tatula. I really like the Lew's but may have to give the Tatula a shot. Thanks
  2. Thanks for the suggestions. I never considered putting the Curado on the St Croix. -J
  3. Posted this once in the wrong forum. Sorry bout that! OK, here's the deal. Last season I was given a BPS Xtreme 6' medium rod with a Curado CU200. I purchased a Falcon Bucoo 6' 10" MHF rod and paired it with a Lew's Tourney MB 7.5:1. The Bucco worked well for me but I felt it was a little light. So this year, I bought a St Croix Mojo Bass in MHF. Now, my question is this, if you had the following gear, how would you pair it? 6' BPS Xtreme M 6' 10" Falcon Buccoo MHF 7' 1" St Croix Mojo Bass MHF Shimano Curado CU200 6.3:1(?) Lew's Tourney MB 7.5:1 Another ~$150.00 reel (suggestions) Let's hear what ya think. I was using the BPS for top waters and shallow cranks but I'm up to hearing anything. Thanks -J
  4. Just occured to me that this is the wrong forum. Sorry folks. Can we scrap this and I'll repost in the correct forum. -J

  10. Thanks for the welcome. Does anyone know why I can't get rid of this ----> @A-Jay
  11. Thanks. I've read great things about your services and look forward to doing business with you. -J
  12. A small world indeed. Never been to Independence dam but I do know there are plenty of cornfields in Henry county...Lol. Thanks for the welcome @A-Jay!
  13. @TnRiver46 I'm about an hour from Defiance and about 30 minutes from downtown Maumee where the walleye run is thick in the spring.
  14. I believe it was here that I read about @Delaware Valley Tackle. I've decided to send them my reels for off season maintenance but I have a few questions for those in the know. I have a Lew's Tourney MB and a old Greenie Curado that I want serviced. I figure a basic service will suffice for the Lew's (used 1 season) but the Curado I got from my father in law. The Curado was never used before this season, as far as I know. But, it did go in the drink a couple of times this season. Should I invest in the performance tune and possibly some Boccas or will it be fine with standard maintenance? Also, how does DVT receive payment? Do they bill me for service prior to sending the reels back or what? Thanks for any info you guys can provide. Ive read great things about DVT and I'm looking forward to getting my reels ready for next season. -J
  15. Hello from Oregon, OH. My name is Jason and I've been gleening information off of this site for about the last 9 months or so and decided I should join and introduce myself. Grew up fishing lake Erie for walleye and perch. Joined the USAF, moved away from 92-02 and returned to the Toledo area where I was reintroduced to lake Erie...Still didn't do it for me. Then one day, I threw a popper in a pond and it was on! I was hooked on the bucket mouths!! That was last summer. I've since amassed several rods and reels and loaded a tackle box with cranks, frogs, poppers, buzz baits, jigs, and a number of other lures. To say the very least, I'm hooked. At any rate, I look forward to picking your brains and continuing to learn about this great sport from all of you. Tight lines to you all, Jason W Oregon, OH
