Livingston Lures
I got one for free because of a messed up package from one of the LTB/MTB places. On a pretty slow day I decided it couldn't hurt to throw it out. Within the first few cast I caught a little guy. Was this because of the sound it makes? Who knows, but I do know it obviously doesn't hurt.

Reel Cleaning Help
So I had my brother (He is an Engineer) help me put it back together and everything works well. somewhere along the lines we missed a washer, so now I have a washer just sitting in a plastic bag. Its a tiny little one but like I said the reel works fine and is a lot smoother now.

Daiwa Vs. Shimano
Thanks for the help everyone. What are the differences in the braking systems. I don't really know how they work or anything like that

Daiwa Vs. Shimano
I am in the market for a new reel and was wondering what the difference in the two brands are? I'm looking to stay around the 129 price point for right now. I have the Daiwa Tatula CT and I absolutely love it. But since I am looking to get a new reel I have been wondering if the Shimano Casitas 150 would be better, worse, or about the same just with a different logo. The reviews I have been reading on them both seem to say the exact same thing, "Best reel for the price" and so on. I know some people on here are strictly "Team Daiwa" or "Team Shimano" and I would like to know why they have stayed loyal to one brand over the other. I would also like to hear from people who have used both reels or at least both brands.

Reel Cleaning Help
I was hoping not to have to send it off to get it put back together... hopefully I can figure it out so I don't have to do that but if I have to I guess I will lol

Reel Cleaning Help
So this morning I decided to try and clean and lube/grease one of my cheaper reels as a test run before I tried my more expensive reels. Well with the help of YouTube and some common sense I managed to get my reel apart... maybe too apart. I have taken everything off of the frame. I am confident that I will be able to get it back together if I had the schematics, but I don't. I've tried to find one online but can only find some of the more expensive Lews reels. So if anyone could point me in the direction of finding the schematics for a lews cf1sh reel that would be awesome. Also while I'm here any pointers on what parts all need to be degreased/re-greased/oiled and all that and what would be the best way to do that would be much appreciated. I may have just got in over my head. Thanks for any help Jordan

New Cranking Rod/Reel Help
I really appreciate all the help! I meant to include the type of baits I usually use in the original post but guess I got caught up in my wondering mind. I usually use shallow to medium diving crank baits because I usually fish from the bank in smaller ponds and lakes. I guess the reason I put a combo price range at $300 and the rod/reel prices at $200 each was me wondering if I should be spending more on the rod or reel (should I look more at $200 rods and $100 reels or vise-versa). I know looks have nothing to do with how well a setup works but I just really want a sexy looking combo lol. I guess it just gives me a little more confidence in the stuff I'm using. Thanks again for the input.

New Cranking Rod/Reel Help
I'm a new member here but have been reading articles for a while, so if this question has already been asked and answered I'm sorry for clogging up the feed a little bit. However my question is basically, what would be the best baitcasting reel for crankbaits (brand, model, ratio, all that good stuff) for $200 or less. I think I would like to stick with Daiwa but I am open to almost any brand. Also what are some of the better crankbait rods out there inside the $200 price range again. Ideally I would like the combo to be as close to $300 as possible. I have been looking at a few different rods including St. Croix, Phenix, and Powell. I have also been looking at some JDM reels (just for fun) and it got me wondering, are those reels that much better than the common ones normally we use or is the price increase just because of the fact of them being more rare? Thanks for any help!
