That rod fishes like a heavy.I just retired my 7'MHF Veritas.I used it as a frog rod.

I bought the rod based on your suggestion.Im so glad i bought it.I have it paired up with a 25 size Daiwa BG spooled with 20# Power Pro.

X2 on the Defier Armilo.I was using 13#on my topwater rod until i sold it and put the reel on another rod.

50-65# braid for pitching,frogging.I use 15-20# braid on my spinning rod for worms,kietechs,and small topwater.12# copoly for shallow cranks and swim jigs.

I just do a couple quick yanks to get it off the bottom and let it fall.

The SK Plus didnt steer me wrong for 30 bucks.Sunglasses arent something id buy blindly.I tried on probably 30 pairs before pulling the trigger on them.Some just dont fit the face right,too loose or just plain uncomfortable.I upgraded my SK Plus blue lenses to Costa Fantails with copper lenses today,man what a difference.

Used my Birthday gift cards on a pair of Costa Fantails.Had to chip in 30 bucks but hey.I got a pair of Costas for 30 bucks!

So the pond next to my house was primo fishing last year,even with the massive drought we had.This year ive noticed there is a huge muskrat population in the pond.It wasnt like this last year.Im just about tripping on 3 of them along the bank on the way to my spot and there are a ton more in the water swimming around.The other thing ive noticed is that the fishing has gone to complete garbage.I cant get bit on a wacky worm.Im catching fish at other bodies of water,so im positive its not me being a shmuck.Could the muskrat infestation along the bank be ruining the fishing? (i.e muskrats eating the bass up shallow or scaring the fish to deeper water out of reach)?
