  1. Being anxious,I got the Curado spooled with 30# Sufix 832 since BPS was out of 150 yd spools of Power Pro in 30.Decided to do some flipping in the living room. Was getting 25 feet with a 4" pit boss and 1/8 oz tungsten.I was excited about ZERO backlash on 30# braid until I realized that the 4/0 hook, bait and weight was about .450 oz.Had all 4 internals on and the side brake set at 3.Even so I was impressed. How light have you guys gone on this reel and how do you have your brakes set on it?
  2. 7' MHF for jigs 7' MHF Veritas so its a HF for frogging 6'7 MF topwater/jerk 7' ML spinning for T-rig and light trebles

  5. Looks good.I just swapped all mine around this weekend myself. Now I need to find a new rod for my Orra winch that lost its buddy.
  6. I reel my sinning gear with my left and cast right handed. However I cast baitcasters righty and reel rightly. Its just a comfort thing and how I'm used to doing it.
  7. Booyah pad crasher all day
  8. X2 on the Lightning shock rods.Hard to beat for 50 bucks.
  9. Mustad KVD Triple grips 2x short 1x strong.Depending on what's on them its usually size 4 or 6.I do this on every lure I don't trust the hooks on.Thats most of them.If the don't come with Mustad,Gammys or Owners I swap em. Its a confidence thing as much as it up or down sizing to get a different sink or rise rate.Plus the shorts can't get tangled to each other and throw the action off.
  10. The new setup is to pretty not to share.Curado 70HG 7.2:1 on a 7'1" St. Croix Mojo MHF.
  11. I just put together a Black gen 2 *** 6'7" MF with an in ception 8.1:1
  12. If I was going Abu Id go 7-7'6"MHF.Other than that of say HF same length. My frog rod is a 1st get Veritas 7' MHF
  13. After returns and gift cards I got this bad boy for 5.75 out of pocket! Only 70 size in RH left in BPS.I wasn't leaving without it.
  14. Those that have it,do you have any issue with 30# braid on it or do you go with 40#?
  15. Those Veritas for sure run heavier than the rating.
  16. Exactly.I read a review the other day where the guy was bad mouthing a rod that he broke the tip off getting caught in the boat.I've personally broke my 1st gen Veritas twice.Once high sticking another in the trunk.Id never bad mouth that rod.
  17. Never fished one in my life I definitely lean toward power. But I'm determined to finesse fish more this year.I always switch up but power fishing gets me going.
  18. I just got this for my topwater setup.I can't wait to try it.
  19. I used to fish this small pond next to a dam and used to encounter beavers all the time. The strange thing was they would always swim by my line and slap their tails on the water.I was never sure if they were trying to scare the fish away so I couldn't catch their meal or if they were trying to knock out fish on the surface. They used to do it constantly.
  20. Do you guys leave your reels spooled in the off season,or do you take it all off and start fresh with new line come spring?
  21. I just bought 12# Yozuri Hybrid for that And jigging
