  1. Just getting into live shad fishing and I'd like to know who makes a quality cast net? Looking at a Bett's Hi-Tider 7'. Also, who makes a good shad tank? Thanks guys.
  2. It failed. They still died about the same time as the bucket with holes around the sides. I gave up on the buckets and put them in my Phoenix livewell. Same results in about the same time frame. Red nosed, bruising on their bodies and dying in 30 min or so. What's the BEST tank to buy?
  3. Trying to keep shad alive without getting into a major tank with pumps, etc. I have a 5 gallon bucket that I put hundreds of holes in and it floats next to my boat. My question is.... A shad "roots" his nose back and forth nonstop and I believe they scrape their nose on the holes in the bucket and die quickly. Do you think they'll live longer if I only place the holes in the very bottom of the bucket? Here's my current bucket: Thanks.
  4. Thanks...Do you prefer the 60 or 70 size?
  5. Does the Jackall TN lipless produce good results? Which one is better? The original or the Disk Knocker? Which size is more popular? 60 or 70? Best way to fish this bait? Thanks.
  6. Fishing lake Guntersville - Jamie Hartman (Bassmaster pro) recently slayed em on a bone Vixen. Just wondering how the Rover or other walking baits compare to the Vixen. Which would you all choose for G'ville? Thanks.
  7. Where's this "luggage" scale people keep mentioning? Link?
  8. Just for kicks... try this. If you don't like em, return em. I've had this set for years, works great, 20 bucks. https://www.academy.com/shop/pdp/frogg-toggs-adults-signature-bull-frogg-suit-200791211#repChildCatSku=024485187
  9. Do you think the 55# model would be a little more dependable than the cheaper 22? I've just always been leery about buying the "cheapest model". Do you have one? If so, which one?
  10. Will the lip clip throw off the accuracy of this scale or will it auto-tare the weight of the clip?
  11. Guys, is there an accurate scale under $100 with a lip clip? Thanks.
  12. I just looked again and yes, i do see the Owner ST36 comes in a 5. Sorry, oversight on my part. Do they match the stock dt6 hook? Or are they longer?
  13. Planning to order all sizes of replacement hooks for spoons, squarebills, dt6, 6xd, etc. All sizes are available in KVD triple grips except for the DT6 (size 5). Should I just look for a different brand that carries a size 5? I checked Owner St35/36 and they don't do size 5 either. Thanks.
  14. I've tried several (high dollar) brands of gaiters. No matter what - it's NOT comfortable wearing something that tight around your face. So, I gave this a try. Now, before you guys flip out - you simply remove the "face" piece - and just use the hat + rear neck cover and it works great. It's got an extra wide brim and I never get direct sunlight on my face/neck. FIVE BUCKS - TRY IT! https://www.ebay.com/itm/Hiking-Fishing-Hat-Outdoor-Sports-Sun-Protection-Neck-Face-Flap-Cap-Wide-Brim-A/392058496881?_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIM.MBE%26ao%3D2%26asc%3D44039%26meid%3D4e1eb4ea7c5749bda4c9d45d141486b2%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D5%26rkt%3D12%26sd%3D302060711076%26itm%3D392058496881&_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851
  15. Should I stay with long shank or change to short?
