Great catch! What park was that at if you don't mind me asking? I am always looking for somewhere new to go to and am catch and release.

Has anybody fished Frank Road Park in Collierville. I usually fish all over but have never fished this area.

Has anyone been having any luck with some bigger largemouth? With the weather and heat upon us I have found it more challenging actually than last year. Halle park, Grove park, and Johnson park provided some nice fish last year but I have tried Berkley power worms, spinnerbaits, topwater, and rattle traps. The largest I have caught this year has been 7 lbs. Just wanting some feedback and what lures have worked best in morning and evening.

Don't forget to keep a topwater on hand also. The temperatures have not receded dramatically for the water temperatures. I have had success with the Whopper Plopper and with the bass chasing the shad it would be a great idea to be throwing a top water bait and then go with something suspended.

Been fishing Johnson Park in Collierville using a shaky head with a Berkley power snake, red shad. Throwing some swimbaits and shad colored crank baits as well. The fishing has been slow, but the baitfish are moving in early morning and evening as well. I will try the Civic Center pond behind the library Sunday evening as I have first responder classes all day Saturday at the Red Cross. Good luck to everyone. The shad are thick at the pond behind the library in Collierville and the bass seem to be concentrated on these schools.

Can any one of my fellow anglers help me locate some tournaments coming up in the next 2 to 3 months near Memphis Tennessee? My best friend I fish tournaments with is coming to visit and wants us to fish a tournament. He is bringing his boat when he comes down. Thanks for all your help and info.

Thanks for the info. I caught 9 yesterday with my biggest one at 6lbs. I then lost a Hawg at least 8+ or better when he threw the hook! Nobody else was catching anything except me! Best of luck and stay in touch.

Here in Memphis, Tennessee the water is cold. I have had luck with the Ned Rig using a California Craw Color and Junebug, but I must tell you to slow it down! The bass are not as aggressive in this type of water temperature and I am catching them in about 6-8 foot of water. The silver rattle trap with black back is working also, but very slowly. I have actually had fish hit the bait and swim off after missing their first attempt.

I need advice on going pro as a co-angler for now until I can get a boat. I have fished for 42 years and am dedicated and devoted, not caring what type of weather or conditions and am constantly studying and using different techniques, some I have learned and others on my own. I just need some solid advice and some help please. I am going on 46 years old and this is something I have wanted to do for a long time. Fortunately, I am off work on weekends and have vacation time every year until I can build up a reputation as being one of the best to get sponsorship. Thank you for your time. Where is grove park from hackscrossvand 385?

Hello avid Bass Fishermen. Where is the Daycare Pond located? I transferred to Memphis last year with my company. Any help would be appreciated. Also where is Grove Park? I have fished the Humphries BLVD. ponds and will probably go back this weekend, throwing a Berkeley Power Worm and Rattle Trap, silver with black back. I did pretty good on the trap at Shelby Farms last weekend. Thanks!!!! Where is Johnson Fountains Pond? Address or directions?
