  1. I caught my pb 9.8 on a all white spinnerbait, cast it out, let it sink for a few seconds so it was on bottom and just started to slowly wind. Maybe 3/4 of a rotation around and got absolutely annihilated, set the hook and thought I was on a log... my other favorite way to fish it is to roll it past bedded fish in shallow water, did that yesterday to catch five fish in 10 casts. They just work.
  2. The spinnerbait is by far my favorite lure. I throw them from spawn till the end of the year and have caught gotten quarter pound fish to hit full size 1/2 ounce spinnerbaits, its kind of funny sometimes when the lure with trailer is bigger than the fish itself, but they simply just produce.
  3. What are people going to be using to fish out on the now open waters of the lake?
  4. I don't know of any clubs or groups here in the lakes region, but would like to join or possibly start one.
  5. I fish from a kayak all summer long and I use a net no matter what mainly to protect myself from getting hooked. But I keep one of those little black floaty nets that you can get at walmart for 6 bucks that fits right between my legs. Used that to complete the catch of my 9.8 pb that I caught this summer. It's all about how you play the fish, even though I was only using 12lb monofilament its its worth it to use the net for extra reach so you don't have to put as much flex in the rod or stress on the line.
  6. When I tell fishing stories I only tell people about the small ones. I usually under-exaggerate them.
  7. I have one of the under armour ones and it is super comfortable, as well as keeps the sun off my neck, so it checks all the boxes for me.
  8. I only use 12lb test mono on my baitcasters because I hate trying to untangle braid backlashes. My top water rod is a 7 foot medium abu that is missing the last eyelet. I fish in a sit inside "touring kayak" that I somehow fit inside my car with all the windows and doors closed. I caught my pb on a 6'6" medium Hank Parker rod that I got from walmart for $13.
  9. I've caught them on everything from swim jigs to small square bills and Texas rigs, its super fast current in one half, so most of the time I catch smallmouth there but I have caught a few largemouth. its hard to access one side that has the deeper water because of the snow that is still built up. There's a few pockets that range from 15 to 17 feet, but I don't know if the fish are even staying there right now because they do have access to the main lake.
  10. Haha, ive never understood the allure of pink worms and stuff like that, but its to each his own.
  11. I generally am the same, I personally love white spinnerbaits, but I have trouble picking any colors for soft plastics and such.
  12. I would like to know what colors of shad or other baitfish and craws that they are eating, and what color baits people are using.
  13. My previous personal best was a six and that was nowhere near that size, it is very possible that I could need another scale, but it was a brand new scale that was one of the certified ones. But I do agree that it had a small-ish mouth, but I believe it looks that way because of the way it was being held. No offense taken.
  14. I've been fishing a bit lately from some rivers where I catch large and smallmouth the rest of the year, but I don't have any way to go ice fishing. Does anyone have any idea on how to catch fish in these super cold New Hampshire waters that aren't iced over?
  15. Excuse my inability to talk in the videos, you probably wouldn't be able too either. The forum won't let me post the pictures by itself, so I have to paste the links instead. https://drive.google.com/open?id=1wn8Z4ecleCS6vOR6IngOrzxX17_zBHiy4Q https://drive.google.com/open?id=1huuuRvHDnB02mj-eAjAMWgqpNPmnbvlSIg https://drive.google.com/open?id=1wn8Z4ecleCS6vOR6IngOrzxX17_zBHiy4Q https://drive.google.com/open?id=1VIgFw_72W-htWU6NbLtXMLnlofVheNn56g https://drive.google.com/open?id=1A6QPG8O35Rs3iuOkzcOV7MvcakmK4GYizg https://drive.google.com/open?id=1SokjJ3mtHXmGB7vdCr-iFWB0kwkJviwdTg
