What do you guys here think of an Ugly Stik Elite 6'6" medium/extra-fast casting rod for fishing jerkbaits?
I have a TW coupon and was looking at this as a cheap option, what do y'all think?

Best fishing gloves for cold weather?
I have a pair of Outdoor Research Fairbanks Gloves. Winters here aren't too bad nowadays but I've found that I can wear them for as cold as I am willing to fish.

Fishmas 2020
I'd be in if I weren't a couple of posts short, but this is a great idea!

Anybody Got Purchase Plans Over Winter?
No purchase plans yet, but you're gonna love that setup. I have the 6'9" sierra with a Daiwa RG-AB and it's my favorite combo

Guys who wade how many rods do you take?
I always have two - a 6'9" medium/fast spinning rod, and a 7' medium-heavy/fast G. Loomis MBR casting rod because between the two I can throw d**n near anything. I have a holster on my belt that holds one rod and the other one is in my hand, that plus the shoulder bag I have for my tackle and I haven't run into any difficulties (though I'll generally only go waist deep when I'm wading).

Best option for rod storage inside your car?
I just recently sold my ol' Chevy Blazer which was great because the rear seats would sit flat with the cargo area so my rods could lie totally flat and out of the way. To replace it I picked up an '05 Honda CR-V which has been great so far, but folding the seats down leaves the rods sitting up at an angle inside the car taking up a lot of space. I'm considering getting some of those straps that go between the handlebars above your doors, does anyone have experience or recommendations for these? Most of my rods are 7' and under (longest rod is 7'3" which isn't insanely long) but I'm worried that they won't fit well. Also, are there any problems with using this setup with a sunroof? This is the first time in my life having one of those so I'd like to be able to use it too, hahah. Thanks!

You can't replace the hooks on a Heddon torpdedo?
Thanks, I'm going to use your advice when i go out tomorrow morning

My first jig fish
While sensitivity is important, it isn't quite everything. I've got plenty of jig fish on my $70 Abu Garcia silver max

You can't replace the hooks on a Heddon torpdedo?
Just picked up a couple tiny torpedos to try out and saw that the hooks look pretty cheap and aren't very sharp. So I went to purchase some replacements only to find out that they aren't on split rings and can't be removed! What gives?

What rod should I use for jerkbaits?
I really want to get into fishing jerkbaits this fall because I have consistently found very little success using them in the past, so I'm looking for a little advice regarding rod selection. These are the current rods in my arsenal: 6'9" medium/fast, spinning (Dobyns Sierra) 7' medium-heavy/fast, casting (Abu Garcia Silver Max) 7' medium-heavy/fast MBR, casting (G. Loomix IMX) 7' medium/moderate, casting (Duckett Micro Magic Pro) 7'1" medium-heavy/fast, casting (ALX Zolo) 7'3" heavy/fast, casting (Dobyns Fury) Which, of these, would be best suited for jerkbaits? I am open to buying a new rod but not looking to spend much (currently I have my eyes on a $50 Ugly Stik Elite 6'6" medium/x-fast). How important do you find sensitivity to be when fishing jerkbaits, and will I miss out on much by cheaping out on the rod? Also while we're on the topic, what lines do you most prefer? I've heard fluoro for suspending baits and mono for floating ones but I'd love some input!

Bluegill color options?
The 3.8" on a 3/16oz owner flashy swimmer with the colorado blade is definitely my favorite way to fish it (this is especially killer in the small ponds that I fish most often, but you can upsize to the 1/4oz or 3/8oz and the 4.3-4.8" swimbaits to target bigger fish or larger bodies of water). You can't go wrong tossing it on the back of a swim jig, and try it texas rigged weightless (on a 3/0 or 4/0 EWG hook) or on a plain weighted swimbait hook too (same sizes you would use for the flashy swimmer). But especially as fall starts to come and temps start to drop, pairing it with an underspin will put in work for you.

Bluegill color options?
Sungill has been killing it for me lately, especially the Keitech Swing Impact Fats

Swim jig enthusiasts
Any tips on how to fish a swim jig? So far I think I've only caught a couple pickerel on swim jigs but I want to get more experience with em. I recently picked up some Dirty Jigs swim jigs (in Dirty 420) and a pack of green pumpkin rage menace grubs and some Exoswims as well, think these well work to get me going?
