Tips on what to throw in a small pond during a warm spell?
Here in my area of the East Coast, it's been into the 40s and 50s the past couple days along with a decent amount of rain over the past week. It stopped raining a couple days ago, and tomorrow it's supposed to get up to 65 degrees and cloudy so I want to get out and see if I can hook into my first bass of the new year. So, I'm looking for some advice! The pond is small, a little less than an acre, with some vegetation throughout the pond and rocks along the south-east bank (here's a picture of the pond in question). But, the west side isn't accessible as it's surrounded by reeds and the ground along that edge is raised up a good 5-10 feet above the water. What would you guys throw? Anything specific I should look for or do to increase my chances of catching something?

It's going to be warming up the next couple of days, looking for advice!
In my area over the course of the next few days, the temperature is going to be increasing a bit. I live on the east coast (northern Delaware), and it's been brutally cold over the past few days. Today it got up to 45 degrees, and the forecast says by Friday it'll be up to 60. So, I want to take advantage of this warm front and try to get some fishing in, and I need advice! I typically fish small ponds, and only fish from the bank. Do you guys have any recommendations on what I should throw? I was thinking of sticking mostly to the banks where the sun is most direct and areas that are windblown, and throwing either slow moving baits (such as spinnerbaits/chatterbaits, cranks and jerkbaits), or jigs and worms. And pay extra close attention to any structure that might hold fish. Am I on the right track? I'd appreciate any and all tips!

Think I've decided on the next set-up I want to buy, looking for final opinions.
I've been looking around and researching for my first finesse set-up that I want to splurge a bit for, and I think I've decided. I'm looking to mainly use this setup for wacky rigs, shaky heads, ned rigs, and the occasional drop shot rig. Rod: Dobyns Sierra, 6'9", medium-light/fast Reel: Daiwa RG, 5.6:1, 2500 size As far as line goes, chances are I'll end up going with ~12lb braid main line, and tie on 4-8lb fluorocarbon leader whenever I'll need it. What are your guys' thoughts/opinions? Any other recommendations for a similar price range? Thanks!

Pflueger Summit XT versus Daiwa Legalis LT
Does anyone have experience with either one of these reels? Which would you recommend?

Finesse spinning rod and reel suggestions? ~$150-200
I'm looking for a new rod and reel for finesse applications. Namely, something i can throw shaky heads, wacky rigs, ned rigs, etc on. So far I've been looking at the daiwa bg reels, lews tp-1 and custom speed sticks (a bit out of my budget but if it's worth it I'm sure I can make it work) and dobyns fury. I'm open to any suggestions!

How to ask for help?
I've only been fishing for the past year and a half or so, and I'll be honest I'm still not so great, but I'm so eager to learn! At the end of last year I joined a bass fishing club at my university with hopes of meeting other people who fish and to hopefully learn a bunch. So far there haven't been any meetings or outings with the group. But, I'm in the club's group chat with all the members. I want to ask the group if someone/some of them would be able to go out and go fishing and teach me a bit - but I have no idea how to go about it. I think most of them have been doing it for a while, have a bunch of experience, been in tournaments, etc, so it's kind of intimidating talking to them. Does anyone have any advice on how I should approach this? Any and all help would be greatly appreciated!

Can't track tacklewarehouse order?
Long story short, I placed an order on tacklewarehouse for a new rod and reel and some other miscellaneous things. My order summary says it was shipped on the 8th, and I chose UPS 2nd day air. But when I go to track my order, it says "UPS could not locate the shipment details for your request. Please verify your information and try again later." Anyone else ever experienced this? Should I be worried about my order?

What kind of line should I use?
I'll be getting a daiwa fuego ct 8.1:1 and a dobyns fury 734c soon, with the intention of using it for mostly jigs, Texas rigs, and other bottom baits. I almost always fish small lakes and ponds, lots of grass and vegetation, water is typically dirty/stained. Should I spool it up with braid and use a fluoro leader whenever I'll be in clearer water/ around rocks and timber? What pound test should I use? Thanks!

What should my first dedicated setup be for?
Thank you so much! I live in Delaware, fish mostly small ponds and lakes, practically all of which have vegetation, and typically stained water. I was thinking of getting a rod for jigs (if you see my last comment), so that first rod you posted looks great for me! I also noticed that the price is still $110, unless the sale doesn't start until the fourth of July aha. Thank you again, that was incredibly helpful!

What should my first dedicated setup be for?
Oh I like that idea a lot. I've always wanted to get good at fishing with jigs, and I've always had trouble identifying structure and composition of the bottom of lakes/ponds so that would probably help a lot, right?

What should my first dedicated setup be for?
I've only ever fished with rod and reel combos, and I have two - a shakespeare catch more fish bass spinning combo, and an abu garcia silver max casting combo. I want to splurge a bit and get my first dedicated rod/reel setup. But I'm having trouble figuring out what it should be for. So far I know I want it to be a baitcasting set up. But I'm unsure what I should have it dedicated for. A cranking rod for moving baits (cranks, chatterbaits, spinnerbaits, etc)? A topwater/frogging rod? Which would be the most practical one to get? I'd also love to know some rod and reel specifications that would work best for its purpose. Rod length/action/power? Reel size/gear ratio? For reference, I pretty much strictly bank fish on the east coast. Thanks a ton in advance!

Looking for advice! How would you tackle this pond?
Pictures of the pond in question. Just found this spot near my university and I've been told by a friend of mine that there are some really nice bass in here. I went for about 30 minutes after my classes today and threw a spinner bait to cover as much of the water as possible, but I didn't get a single hit. For more info, this is in northern Delaware, Spring is just about starting. Water is pretty stained/dirty, but it did rain a lot recently, all of the bank is accessible, seems to have lots of vegetation, not entirely sure how deep it is. Thanks in advance!

What to do after catching trout?
Oh I forgot to mention I don't have a stringer.

What to do after catching trout?
Trout season just started and tomorrow I'm going to go out for the first time. I'm just not sure how to handle them once they're caught. As of right now, my plan was to first kill them with a strike to the head. After that, gut them (using this video as reference). After that, put them into a cooler with ice until I get home to cook them. I also heard that it can be a good idea to put them in individual sandwich bags and then on to the ice, instead of putting them straight on the ice. Is that a good idea? Does that sound like a good plan? Any other recommendations? Thanks in advance!

Has anyone used Buddha Bait lures?
Their spinner baits, buzz bait, swagger jig, creature baits, and their braided line? How do they stack up against other brands? I've heard their swagger jig works better than most other chatterbaits, but not much about their other ones. Has anyone used em? How do you like them? I've been thinking of stocking up on a bunch of baits for the coming season and their prices are pretty good so I'd love to hear about what people think of them! Thanks!

Fishing in northern Delaware?
I'm looking for people to fish with in the Delaware area (Newark, Bear, and I go down to Middletown pretty often). I'm 19 and only started fishing last year so I'm not that great but I really want to get better so I thought the best way to do that would be to fish with someone who knows what they're doing more aha. If anyone would be interested let me know! This is my first post on this site so I apologize if this isn't the right place or way to ask. Thanks!
