How does age affect tournament performance?
Probably the desire to deal with the grind of being a high level pro would be my guess. The knowledge and ability to catch em probably never leaves, especially the knowledge. You can’t replace experience. However I feel like the world is changing in that now a young angler has so much free knowledge out there on social media outlets and forums. Not to mention the high school and college programs. I think that definitely closes the gap between younger and older anglers and definitely helps keep the less experience angler from getting their tails kicked as much. However you can’t replace time on the actual water with any YouTube video but it sure gives me a better starting point when I get out there. This is just all my novice opinion or guess.

Long Lake, WA
Long is an awesome fishery. It is actually a river reservoir and not a lake. So you have current moving through there. There are some big smallies in there. 5#ers are caught often enough. Along with up to 7 pound largemouth. Also there are pike that will every once in awhile steal your cranks and jerkbaits(not as many since they gIll netted them a couple years ago) I have always done well with crayfish colored cranks. Guys pull 20#+ bags out of there in the tournaments. Also there are big walleye, crappie, and trout in there.

Show off your trays!
I honestly just bought them myself. They seem to store pretty well in the boat. I like the dividers but not the slots for them.

My favorite plastic is the June bug zoom brush hog and baby brush hog. I have also probably caught more fish on June bug on the senko than any other color.- Where to find these cold water bass????

How do today like the rerange? I just bought a few of them and can't wait to try!- Latest Tackle Purchase Thread (Bait Monkey Victim Support Group)
- Shimano Curado 300 Or Daiwa Lexa 300 (Original, HD or CC)
I just bought the Lexi 300 and I fished it for the first time yesterday throwing s wavers 168s and savage gear shine glides 7". I also played around with a 8 inch line through 3D trout. Seemed to handle them all great. I ended up landing two 8 pound pike on my new set up.- Favourite Texas rigged soft plastic
June bug brush hog or a 4.5" tube- Dobyns Fury FR 795SB owners question
I ended up going with the Lexa300HS. Hopefully it works out fine. Thanks for the responses!- Dobyns Fury FR 795SB owners question
So I just purshased the Dobyns Rods Fury Series FR 795SB. Now for all you Dobyn guys out there what reel have you paired with it? I am new to swimbaits and so for I have bought a few S wavers 168, a weedless hudd 68 rof 5, 8 inch line thru trout, and a couple 7 inch shine glides. So I plan on throwing lures from just over an ounch to a little bit over 3 oz. Any ideas or reviews would be much appreciated from guys that use these rods or use similar rods. I am hoping to keep it any from $100 to $150 range. Thanks for reading- Large Swimbaits in eastern Washington
- Large Swimbaits in eastern Washington
Just curious who fishes large swimbaits in Eastern Washington? I am now going to give them a chance this season and try and grab a PB Largie this year. I was a little hesitate to buy anything over 7 inches. I bought a few glide baits that were 7 inches, a couple 6inch S glides river2sea, and Hudd 68. I was wondering if anyone does fish the 10inch + in washington with any success? Also does anyone hammer the Pike or Tiger Muskee on those large swimbaits. I can't imagine the hudds lasting too long with pike hitting them? Any info would be useful to me. Thanks for the read- The Original Trout Glider

You don't sound harsh at all. I know nothing about swimbaits. I figured it was just printed but I was just going off a picture and their website. This is why I ask before I throw away a bunch of money. Obviously it was too good to be true. I appreciate the honesty. Glad I didn't break the bank too bad.- The Original Trout Glider
Well this is my first post to the forum. I was wondering if anyone on here has fished with the Original Trout Glider yet? They are a new glide bait on the market that I accidentally ran into social media. It is about the most realistic looking swimbait I have found on just a visual aspect. I ended up purchasing a couple of them but I am a newbie in fishing swimbaits. So it will probably take me a bit to figure it out what i am doing before i can give a review. I am just now gearing up to throw large swimbaits. Swim bait gear ?s are what original brought me to this forum. I figured someone on here may have fished with one of these trout gliders by now on here? Thanks for taking time to read - Who uses Junebug worms
