How to grow confidence and find your best techniques
Baitcasting: MH with 30 pound braid and 12 pound floro leader Spinning: Medium with 8 pound mono Targeting largemouth in lakes and small ponds. I agree! This is just going to be a learning process and I will enjoy every step of it! I appreciate the advice! I have a bag of senkos and just got two spinnerbaits so I will be giving your tips a go for sure! I totally agree with keeping it simple and that's what I am planning on doing next time I head on the water. I think it's just easy to get overloaded with information and constantly second guess if you are using the correct technique. I will keep your tips in mind! Thanks again and tight lines!

How to grow confidence and find your best techniques
Thank you for the response! I will definitely give those tips and shot and hopefully I will get a few fish! I like your theory on not having a confidence lure, I think as I learn more about bass behavior I will begin to understand what to use where and when. Thank you for the detailed response! I will definitely try downsizing my tackle and changing up my retrieve. Hopefully, the weather by me clears up this week so I can get out there and give your advice a go! I agree and will definitely work on understanding the fish better! Thanks for the response! I will take you up on that advice and I totally agree! I have a few baits in mind to fish this weekend so I will tie them on before I go. Thanks for the tips and tight lines!

How to grow confidence and find your best techniques
Yeah, I have a few spots but yet to get any luck. The fishing in my area is kind of poor right now so hopefully it will pick up soon! I currently am going to school up near Albany. I appreciate the advice and will absolutely follow it. I just bought a Booyah Pond Magic spinner which is on the smaller side so I will definitely give that a go! I am starting to keep a journal of bites and catches and the data will definitely be useful once I begin to catch more fish. Once again thank you for the detailed response and tight lines! Thanks for the quick response, I think I need to tell myself I can't pick another lure until I used the first one for at least an hour! How to grow confidence and find your best techniques
Hey Yall, As of this year, I really started getting into bass fishing but have been having some trouble. Every time I get out on the water I end up spending more time tying on different lures and fidgeting with my gear in order to catch fish. I think I need to find a plan or process so when I go fishing I am not wasting time to switch lures when I could be catching tanks . So my question is, how do you find that confidence bait you always catch fish on and how do you find a general process you follow when you get on the water? Thanks for reading this post and tight lines!

Unfortunate incident with fellow angler.
It's amazing how people just can't control themselves and their ego. You absolutely did the right thing and it's unfortunate that people out there have to ruin the great sport of fishing for others. People get so caught up in things they don't realize fishing is meant to be fun. Tight lines and I respect you keeping your cool in that situation.

Favorite Senko / Stick Worm Colors ?
Thanks for the tip! I will definitely check them out!

Favorite Senko / Stick Worm Colors ?
True, I hope it applies to the bass considering I just bought 3 packs of em

Favorite Senko / Stick Worm Colors ?
Fisherman... Most people usually go for the Watermelons, Pumpkins, and Black/Blues. This is obviously anecdotal so it may be different for others but according to most fisherman I know, they rarely use it compared to the colors I listed above.

Favorite Senko / Stick Worm Colors ?
Baby bass is definitely underrated

Field and Steam/Jawbone tackle
Hey yall, Has anyone tried any of the store brand gear from Field and Stream or Jawbone which I believe is a store brand by Dicks Sporting Goods? They had braid for a nice discount and I was just wondering if it was any good or the tackle that Jawbone offers? Tight Lines, Jake

Advice on first boat!
Looked in Triton and they seemed to offer some great options at a fair price. I am currently leaning more towards the fiberglass side right now. Definitely agree on the bass not caring, I have a pretty good budget but whatever gets the job done is all I need! Thank you so much! I appreciate you taking the time to find those examples. That is a great point and something I didn't consider about aluminum boats. The more forgiving the better considering it will be my first purchase. Totally agree with getting a boat at a lower price point then loading it up with some options.

Advice on first boat!
Hey yall, Recently got a lake house on a small lake that's about 8.1 miles of shoreline. I am looking into purchasing my first boat, I was thinking it would be best to buy a Jon boat or a Sun Dolphin to learn and teach myself on without worrying about damaging it like I would with a nice bass boat. Although, buying a cheaper nice bass boat is so tempting. Do yall think its best to order a smaller cheap boat like a Jon boat for learning purposes or just splurge and go for the bass boat? Tight Lines, Jake

What's your plan of attack?
The Deeper is a bit more pricey but I love the different attachments they offer (boat, ice fishing) you can get for it. I have read good things about it all over so I will have to pick one up! Definitely agree with the confidence bait, still new to fishing so still searching for my favorite but I definitely am more confident with some baits over others. Wow, thank you for the detailed response! I definitely agree with having a consistent game plan and mission at familiar places. My few first weeks fishing I would go to new spots with no idea what to throw and end up spending half my time tying on different baits. Speaking of pooping pants, one of my first days fishing ( Started this year), I was throwing a little grub on a tiny jig head to catch some panfish. All the sudden my line starts running and I caught a 3 pounder on a UL rod. You should have seen my face when I started pulling that thing in! Jake I have heard awesome things about Z Man's. Definitely have to pick two or three up for this season. Probably will get darker color like black and blue then a lighter white and chartreuse for different water clarity. Jake

What's your plan of attack?
Thanks for the response! I need to get a way to get water temp, thinking about giving the deeper fish finder a go. I usually try and match the hatch but sometimes I feel like even if the body of water doesn't contain craws they will still eat em. Thank you for the response! Love the quote at the end and I totally agree with it! Unfortunately, I am still stuck on the bank until I get a boat this summer but when I do I will try out that technique.

What's your plan of attack?
Hey everyone, Just wondering how yall approach a pond or lake? What is your go to bait to see if their biting and how do you decide on what to switch too? I usually start with a crankbait to search then move to something slower if they aren't biting. Best of luck and tight lines.
