Just curious, if you had a bass fat on baitfish and another bass fat with eggs. Which one would weight more?

Im in need of a two piece rod because of the limited space in our car when we go up to our place on the lake each weekend. I like my st croix's but I just noticed they's carbonlite 2.0 rods. They look very nice and are about 20$ cheaper. Any thoughts?

Dont stress it, I have lost so many giant fish this year its unbelievable. Lost my PB largemouth and smallmouth. And some giant fish at the mississippi.

My new rod came with this ugly cork... I would like to try some Winn grips and would like to see if anyone liked there’s and if the cork underneath stayed in relatively good condition. I would also like to take a look at cork sealer but am a little bit worried about it.

Thanks guys I decided to just heat it up and see if it would stop moving and sure enough it did, no glue or guides needed

Was looking at my guides today and noticed my tip guide is slightly loose and I can wiggle it back and worth a tiny bit and gear a little tick sound when I do. Is this going to be a problem? Or should I just stop worrying about it.

I’d say so, if I have a few yards left on a spool I’m respooling I’ll tape it onto a empty spool for leader or something like that

Anyone use theys? Who do you rig them? Would a 5/0 dew and a 5/8oz bullet weight sound good?

So you guys are talking about the Dobyns fury 7’9” rod correct? Is it full or split grip?

I’d like the Dobyns fury rod but the issue is the handle length, I’d like it to be balanced and I feel like the Curado would feel small on it.

I’m looking to buy a swimbait rod, I’ll be throwing mattlures u2 bluegills, Huddleston bluegills, and other soft swimbait around 1-1.5oz. I would also like to throw some 2oz spinnerbaits for pike and light Muskie with this rod as well though. It’s going to be paired with a Shimano Curado 200i. I know it’s not the best line capacity but it’s all I got. I don’t want a very long handle either. I’d like it to be balanced with the reel. I was looking at the Fenwick elite tech bass rod 7’9” since it has a shorter handle end I like the specs but would also like to hear what you guys suggest.

The guide on this rod came pretty bent so I decided to try and bend it back. When I did I heard a small crack and looks like the epoxy cracked/separated a little bit. Just wondering if this is going to be a issue or not
