  1. what is the maximum weight that you can throw well and lead? I fish on slowly flowing waters. I assume you only on still Waters?
  2. My fear is that the rod could be a bit oversized for the fish species I've looked at. Another rod that I could get here with us would be a GLX 843 SJR -5 / 8 oz. Would this also be suitable for jigging or rather for spinnerbait and hardbait? If the import taxes and transport costs wouldnt be so high I would order a rod from the US but I do not want to pay $ 280 only for that.
  3. I do not like the soft tip. When I start the bait, the energy in the top fizzles out. And at a long distance it is difficult to set the hook. Of course, the rod has a strong backbone but I'm looking for a consistently stiff action
  4. Really nobody? I'm still looking for a NRX without a strong tip action. I once had a 804C, which I thought was perfect. However, that was a baitcaster. It should give good feedback on 1/4 to 3 / 8OZ jig heads + trailers. I have now picked out the 843S NRX Inshore and find the specifications pretty good, I just scare off the high line rating. Did someone ever hold the rod and can say something about it? The following rods were already in my possession but had to go because I did not like the action of the top: NRX 803S NRX 804S NRX 852S
  5. Hi guys, i was looking for new Walleye/Pikeperch/BigPerch- Rod. So i ordered a 804S. When it was delivered, I was a little surprised how soft the top or upper third of the rod works. In my opinion, the rod is rather not suitable for jigging. I think it could become a problem to put the hook in the bony mouth. Does anyone have the rod in use and can say something about it? Maybe someone also has a tip for a rod with hard backbone and hard tip. which also tolerates heavy jig heads. Most liked by G. Loomis Greetings from Germany
  6. I just ordered the G.Loomis 804 GLX. I hope it was a good decision The Blank is only "fast" i hope that´ok. The guy where i ordered it told me there should be no difference respective the Feedback of a 5/16 Jighead. 803 is similar to 804 it´s just have more power.

  8. Hi, this here is the only one i can get here in Germany https://www.baitcasterproshop.de/GLoomis-BCR-804 It costs 474$ I hope you can open the link. Im not sure if this is the new GLX oder the old one When you say 7/16 is the top of the end, does it means 7/16 jighead only or 7/16+Trailer?
  9. Too many different opinions I use 90% 5/16 - 7/16 Jigheads Only in the winter i use sometimes 3/4oz Jigheads I want a good feedback with light jigs too. How many oz i need to have a good feeling what my Lure is doing on the ground? Is there a difference between 803 and 804?
  10. Thank´s for your answer. Do you think this rod got enough power to set the hook safe in the mouth of a Big Zander/walleye?
  11. Hey guys, first of all I'd like to introduce myself. My name is Tobi and I am 27 years old. I am from Germany and i love Bassfishing. I hope you can help me with my decision. Im interested in a G.Loomis GLX 803 3/16 - 5/8 oz. I need this rod for Jigs from 5/16 to 5/8oz + maximum 4inch trailer but most time im between 5/16 and 1/2oz. Can you tell me what weight is the maximum to jig with this rod? In Germany people say the weight indication is underrated but I cant find much about the GLX Series here. Do you think the rod is overloaded with 5/8oz+small Trailer I don’t know if I should take the 804 but I don’t like fishing with overrated rods. I hope you can undersand what I mean. I had my last English lesson 10 years ago .
