Reel to replace REVO3 SX
A couple months ago, I purchased two Abu Garcia Revo 3 SX's when they were on sale for $63. I've used one of them (7.1.1) for the past few months for light inshore fishing in brackish water and some bass fishing. That said, for a reel that was supposed to be a $100+ reel, I am not too impressed with it. So now my mission is to tell the other reel that I purchased that is still new in box and use that money toward a combo that I would like to be in the $250 range. Preferably not more than that. Could I get some rod and reel suggestions? I've been keeping my eye on curados and tatula's. Should I spend 180 for a reel and 70 for a rod? Or try to keep it closer in terms of their prices? I typically don't throw anything that weighs more than 1/2 oz and it's hard to find an affordable rod that condones to 1/8 oz - 3/4. Thanks for the help!

Is the cabelas deal for in-store purchases only? Not seeing anything on their website.

Abu bumped their prices up from 60 to I believe 82 or 83 for the REVO SX3's and followed suit on their other clearance deals.

I was torn between one curado or saving some money and getting the STX3, then saw the deal and figured two would be better than one. Never used one before, can you give a brief review and some tips for me so I know what to expect? Thanks!

Abu garcia is having a 'Summer Sale'. Just got two RVO3's, on 6:4:1 and one 7:1:1 for $127 shipped. Have deals on rods and other reals. Believe I saw their winch for 39.99 for some of their models.

Fairly New at Baitcasting
I'm assuming 200 series; I've seen them for $150 at BPS and Cabelas

I have heard and seen of many people using the curado's, is 150 "too good" of a deal to pass up?

Fairly New at Baitcasting
Hey everyone, new to the forum, so I apologize if this is a redundant topic, however I thought it would be a good way to get some ideas/help. So basically, I have always fished light saltwater and just started bass fishing last year. I always used spinning gear, until I wanted to challenge myself and see why so many people use baitcasters. I bought a daiwa laguna because I had read where people haven't had many issues with it being used in light saltwater and that it was fairly difficult to get bad backlashes. Needless to say, I'm in love with it and now that I'm pretty good at using a baitcaster, I would like to spend a little more money for a quality reel or maybe even a combo. My absolute max would have to be $140 and I would like to not worry too much about many problems from using it for light saltwater fishing, as well as bass fishing. From what I have seen, it seems like people really like the silver max combo's and even more people like Lew's products. Please comment what you think falls into what I am looking for! Thank you
