I thought xfast and fast are the stiffer stout rods ?

Hi I'm needing some help I am confused here .. I'm sending back my legend bass tournament rod and getting a lengend extreme rod now let me start by saying I love fishing jigs and Texas rigs 1/2 ounce to 3/4 ounce jigs and 1/4 size tungsten weights on senko worms and creature baits I also like to fish 1/2 ounce 3/4 size spinnerbaits ! So my other rod was a 7'1 legend bass tournament rod medium heavy fast action here's where I get lost with these legend extreme rods I wanted a longer rod than a 7'1 so I looked at the 7'6 MH extreme and it's weight first off confused me it said 3/8 - 1 1/4 ... confused at that and it's a moderate fast action rod now I'd love that rod but is that a jig fishing and Texas rig rod really ..? My second choice was the extreme 7'1 MH but again it's a xfast action rod and the weight again makes no sense it's says 1/4 3/4 so sure fits my weight category I guess but the thing that gets me is why is a longer rod with a stiffer tip have less weight than a 7' foot medium heavy extreme !? That rods weight says 3/8-1ounce ... so I'm really confused here someone help let me hear what you guys think ! I even considered the 7'4 H fast action rod the weight is 3/8 - 1 1/2 again confusing ... help please oh and this is a casting rod by the way lol
