  4. Well said I am starting this process myself I am breaking away from the tackle boxes and switching to the boxes in backpack but right now I use a bait caster with a crank bait and haven't used anything else for past month on it since the lure is catching me majority of my fish. Then I have my spinning rod for Texas rigging soon gonna start to learn drop shooting. Gonna have boxes just for each type of lure.
  5. Drop shot is fun but don't wanna learn everything at once take it easy. Learn as you go.
  6. Generally swivels are used in a specific rigging called the Carolina rig I personally never use it but the first rigging you should learn is the Texas rig. It is very easy to learn, you won't catch moss as often, and it goes with almost every soft plastic. Good luck and welcome
  7. Caught 4 fish today 3 of them on the crank bait that is on the on top. Been slamming with that crank bait loving it even though that hooked my hand today. The one on the bottom I caught on a texas rigged zoom u tail chartreuse worm.

Have been having a tough time catching bass lately and learning more and more each day I use the fan like technique and everything but still having hard time choosing the right color of lure so I been using the lure cast it twice in one direction then fan it then change to something different and it gets frustrating that I have just taken a break and just been worm bobber fishing. Any advice on choosing right lure be great.
  14. I been taking my 6 year old out to the lake he has been having a hard time with just being patient so I been having him fish with bobber and nightcrawlers for bluegill help teach him how to cast and retrieve because bass fishing can be tricky with the different types of techniques if you want to teach him bass fishing go with a spinner bait only one technique how to retrieve. And great basic casting gd luck my friend.
