Do you know if the SX 4gen is better than the 3rd gen? i like a review they say is better but i dont know. thanks

Hi i just purchase 3 reels: Abu Garcia Revo STX 4th generation Abu Garcia Revo X 4th generation (i think it should be 1st gen) Daiwa Tatula CT type R I have Abu Garcia Revo STX 3rd generation Abu Garcia Revo SX 3rd gereration Daiwa Tatula SV TW Kast King Royale Legend i just purchase the revo X and revo stx becuase i got both for a good price can anyboty tell me wich is better between the STX 3rd and 4th generation, also i was planning to change the SX 3rd gen for a 4th gen, any advices? thanks

I will because if i loose the knob to much i immediately get a backlash in middle air

i will see him again next week, i'll do what you recommend and ...i star to think the problem is me hehe... thanks the knob is set so the lure falls and when it hit the floor does not get a backlash, and the mag brake in 3 or 4 i think but all reels are set different since i use them for different types if lures

Thanks for the info, he was using berkley trilene 20 lb mono. about the service you mention, i hope not since my oldest reel is from o May of this year. I will change the line in one of the revo SX, since are the only one that i can compare and see if there is a difference between the two Thanks

i really doubt they need to be cleaned yet, since my oldest one is from May, this year and i don't go fishing more the 3 to 4 time a month (sadly ) but i can check on that. Thanks

i use different types of lures, the heavy one get farther but not as his. As mention before his cast is almost twice longer than my better cast. these are my reels and rods 1. revo sx with 7 ft Orra sx (2nd gen) combo rod medium heavy 2. revo sx with 6.6' orra sx (2nd gen) combo rod medium 3. revo stx with 6.6 veeritas 2.0 medium heavy 4. orra sx with berckly cherrywood HD rod (hybrid rod) i normally cast lures between 3/8 to 1/2 oz but i have some 1/4 and 3/4 ones, but no big difference in distance between the 1/2 and the 3/4 cast

Hi Yesterday i met a guy fishing, he has a Black max and a pro max both last generation, what surprise me about that, is that i have a 1 orra SX (2nd gen), 2 Revo SX and 1 Revo STX (all revos are 3rd gen) and he cast almost as twice the distance i can cas even if i use a heave lure, so i ask he about his magical reel, he told me that the he upgrade the black max with an Orra 1st gen bearings and he upgrade the pro max with other reel bearings that i don't remember the name. Any ideas that can help me upgrading my reels, i fish from the bank so i need distance. by the way, i use kastking 40lb braided line on all 4 reels and i already try different settings on my reel brakes. thanks in advanced.

I do it with the rod but i turn my hand o the handle points upwards

Hi I purchased an Abu Garcia Revo MGX (new) in May 2017, i bearly use it, but it is starting to have problems, the reel handle suddenly turns heavy when i rotate my hand to the left in order to make to walk the dog, with the rel handle pointing upwards, thats one, the other is that i have 1 orra sx, 2 revo sx and 1 revo stx and all cast farther than the MGX, i already tried defferent lures, settings, rods etc.. with no different results, any idea? thanks

Flurocarbon leader same result, no bites, i think its really the speed, i think i will sale my revo MGX and STX for a slower ones there are 7.9:1 and 8.1:1 respectively.
