@PAbasser927 I didn't know bass could fly, Today i learned something. I've been rainbow trout fishing for the past day and not so lucky catching them so i went back to bass for a bit. I got to try out some new lures and had a blast caught a huge bass on a lip less crank bait on something i have never caught anything on. But he got off my lure maybe the hooks were to small/powerful fish/etc. But we did catch a few nice fish on a lipless and square crank bait with my sister. I caught something before heading home, I believe it was a pickerel and i lost my red lipless and all i could think of in that moment was taps, I think i need to invest in steel leaders.

We went fishing for rainbows today on a rainy and overcast day. My sister manage to hook into one of these whatever they are and it was burping when i was trying to get the hook out. We have never caught one of these before or knew these fish were in a river/stream/etc. Was pretty interesting to say the least.

We got a sailboat!
Well, It has some kind of motor in the back a 9.9 yamaha. That's pretty much all i know about it. Yeah, Trolling should be alright but we'll see about stand still/coves/etc. You sir are correct, Right now the inside of it needs to be wiped down and cleaned. Pretty much it needs some serious love and care and that goes for the outside as well. As for living on the boat, We could do that but right now our focus is to use it for weekend trips. I know what salt can do to a rods/reels/etc not fun so i can only imagine what it can do to a boat. Thanks man, I hope to have a pretty awesome time out in it.

We got a sailboat!
The journey is finally over, We now have a sailing boat and we cleaned it out yesterday. With that being said, We couldn't get the on board to started up but we do know it sounded fine starting up the first time. I can try and figure out what is wrong with the on board could be due to a loose connection, bad batteries, or some sort of problem down the line we'll see. I'm pretty handy with those kind of things

Only took one rod with me today but it was worth it as i got this cutie. Not sure how big she is or how much she weights but still a nice fish. Got her on a dropshot trapper hook and wacky rig senko. I'm starting to think this combo i pick up a month ago from a yard sale must of came with fluorocarbon as i've been doing pretty good with it on both bass and trout. However, I don't think there's a way i could really know that.

Are You Better with Successfully Setting the Hook...
I'm good at both, I try to do a little of everything For bass: Unseen. For Rainbow/Panfish/Smallfish: In plain sight. I throw my little pink worm under the bridge and wait for them to go to town on it. The lake for bass: I tend to throw a senko in the middle/almost on the other side of the lake and it seems to get them every time.

Went fly fishing today, Still fairly new to this type of fishing i was hoping to land a rainbow trout on it. I ended up going to the river with some slow current and had a few fish eat my fly but not for very long. But the fly ended up getting hung up and snagged after trying to set the hook. I use everything trick i knew and it still wouldn't come loose. After many attempts, I gave up and accepted defeat. I broke the line and it caused me to lose my fly and float. I headed back home and grabbed my other rods and went to the lake instead and it was totally worth it. I got a rainbow and two large mouth bass. Rainbow: Weightless trapper dropshot hook paired with a PowerBait Floating Trout Worm, Color: Bubble Gum. Bass:Weightless 3/0 Gamakatsu Offset EWG Worm Hook paired with a Yum Dinger T-RIG,Color:Watermelon Red Flake. My reel was having a hard time pulling in this "grass" little did i know there was a huge hog on my line. I don't have a scale but she felt quite heavy and seemed like a good 5-6 pound bass. She was feeding up for the winter, That's for sure.

All i wanted was a bass but instead i get two pickerel, I guess bass and other fish are hiding. I don't run into them to often but when i do, It really puts me in a panic mode and i'm not really to sure what to do in the situation. I hooked this guy and he gave up such a fight and wouldn't open his mouth for hook removal. Any attempts to trying to get him unhooked and set free he'd thrash around. So my sister put her foot barely on him and that was enough to stop him from thrash around and calm him down to where i was able to remove the hook and put him back where he belongs. Any advice on the correct way of handling these fish would be much appreciated.

Any Lures with a Perfect Record?
Nope, But i know what you are talking about and those are called PowerBait Floating Mice Tails. I personally use the PowerBait Power Floating Trout Worms in bubble gum these are what you want. You can get these at local walmart or even online. Even though these are "trout" worms they work on just about every fish other than cat fish around me. Want to pair these baits with a small hook meant for a panfish/trout/mosquito hook/etc. After all these are about 3 inches long and can be rigged both weighted or weightless and i'll show you how i rig em. However, I like weightless more. WACKY: IT DOES WORK, HOWEVER I WOULDN'T USE IT PERSONALLY. THE FISH ARE MORE LIKELY TO JUST TAKE IT AND STEAL IT RIGHT AWAY. THIS IS THE ONE I USE THE MOST AND I DON'T SEEM TO LOSE MY BAIT ALL THAT MUCH. WEIGHTED RIG #1 WEIGHTED RIG #2 WACKY RIG. HOPEFULLY THIS IS HELPFUL IN SOME WAY, TIGHT LINES BUDDY.

Any Lures with a Perfect Record?
I've done well with live bait, berkley trout worms, senko, frogs always get me some kind of fish. Like today, I was killing it on my fly rod setup, Used just a pink berkley trout worm, small hook and everything wanted it. I got a bunch of panfish and even a bass they really love these things.

Have you seen this inside a fish ......
Yeah, I don't want to deal with that while fishing! It's pretty gross af and i feel sorry for the poor fish.

Past few days I've been going for nothing but rainbows and sunfish because on the 10th is our stocking day for our river. They will be releasing 1700 rainbow trouts into the river and i'm hoping i can do well and get my limit in one day. But, I decided to switch things up and went for bass before heading home and caught it on weightless senko on trapper hook and on a spin caster outfit. "Not my normal outfit for bass." Personally, I'd use my bait caster but i wanted to see if i could get a bass on this outfit and the picture shows for itself. I have all these neat lures and stuff but bass don't want it. But they'll take a weightless wack rig senko. So here is a picture of my bass before leaving for home, The bass was calm and didn't want to give up my sister's thumb lol.

Rod tip for strike indicator
When growing up, I never used the "feel for fish by holding/touching the line" trick but now i use it almost all the time. I even use my spinning/spincast outfits like a fly fishing outfit. This seems to work really well most often or not and using the "feel for fish line" trick here is a deadly combination. However, I am now interested in this rod tip for strike indicator method and i am willing to give it a try.

Slower Gear Ratio = Better Bass Fishing
I'll have you know, I have now caught a five pound rainbow trout on a 3.8 reel and five pound bass and pickerel on a 5.1 A few nice fish on my bait caster at 6.1 but no five pound fish or anything. I use just about everything, However going from 5.1 to 6.1 i could tell it was a bit faster but not by much. Personally gear ratio doesn't matter to me, I do alright with just about anything.

I got more stuff!
I really lucked out and i'll tell you why. My small town had a huge yard sale all over the place and i looked all around for fishing stuff i could get my hands on for free or not very much. I spent a total of 20$ and even got a few things for free. Brand new fishing stringer, Two brand new only used once medium spin casting combos "Not my kind of setup, But they'll work and i could always change it out for a bait caster reel and use them for bass or something." A seven foot fly fishing rod that can use up to #5/6 fly line and #4-10 line. "Could use this as a new rainbow trout/panfish/etc setup" A few tackle boxes for free and it came with old tools and lures/etc. Overall, I think i did good and am super excited to try these setups for the upcoming stocking of rainbow trouts. I think out of all the stuff i got the fly fishing rod has to be the coolest and i really want to learn how to use one and at least get one fish on it.

Long vs Short Rods?
Personally, I use most rod sizes from 4-7,5-6,6 foot/etc. It really depends on location and what not for rods and setups.

I was on fire today with my pink worm setup, I was catching them left and right. Sadly no big bass but still had fun and even caught my now personal best rainbow trout at five pounds in a very small part of the the river, Talk about what a rush! I couldn't even reel in my line because i was using my rod like a fly rod. I set the hook by pulling the line with my other hand as hard as i could.

Who mainly uses the same lures every time they fish? - I'm down to the same 4 lures
I also have the habit of using the same lures, But if you catch fish with it that's what matter.

You know you're a master angler when...
Here's a few fish from yesterday, We had fun catching these. Turtle was okay, He didn't get hooked but rather just bit down on the hook and worm and wouldn't let it go. OLD PICTURE but still look at this little guy.

Telling people off...
To be honest, I don't mind people throwing rocks as long as they're not big ones. If you'd like to skip small rocks all day go for it! As for litter, I try to clean it up when given the opportunity. I try to help out as much as i can.

Telling people off...
I should of explain this better and that's my fault. I'm aware boys/others throw rocks and believe me i sure did before once in my life and that's fine and all. But i believe there is a time and place for that sort of thing and this was not one of those. The size of these rocks being thrown and doing this type of behavior on a private school campus alone is enough. This is a two acre lake on a private school campus and at one point in it's time was closed to the public. But it is now open to the public and others are allowed to do what they want within reason. But when a few of bad apples are taking big rocks from a rock wall and rock garden you know someone put time and effort in to make it look nice for a private school campus and you throw those into the lake and near others is not cool and disrespectful but others may disagree. I guess what i'm trying to say is, It would be a real shame if a few bad apples ruined it for everyone. People like myself are blessed to have this opportunity given to them and enjoy every moment we get to spend on it.
