Stren Sonic Braid !
I've been a diehard Powerpro guy for a while. I bought the Stren Sonic braid for my light tackle striper setup. The 30lb is fantastic. I'm switching over next year. All my braid setups will be Stren.

My dad needs a heart transplant. I'm waiting for MORE fatalities. Luckily R.I. has a no helmet law for motorcycles.

Hooks and weights for t-rigging tubes?
I prefer the internal weights, or you can use a small bank sinker with the brass eye. Ike did a good demo on this in his video on finesse tactics.

Out with the old, in with the new.
That's the problem. Been using them since about '92-'93. Last year I witnessed two of them snap on a friend in my boat. Had one break last summer and this year have bent three already. None of these were a result of bionic ninja hooksets, and none of the failures were with braid. Time to move on.

Out with the old, in with the new.
Just had too many types of Gamakatsu hooks in the Falcon box. Had some BPS gift cards so today was the day.

Out with the old, in with the new.
Goodbye Gamakatsu, hello Owner. Hooks shouldn't bend with a medium power rod and 8lb flouro. This was the last straw.

That reel is THE workhorse of the surf. My Penn 704Z. It's older than most of the members on this site.

New Volvo vs. Bambi
I drove my '73 F100 through a telephone pole at 70 mph when I was 19. Truck was still running when I finally came to a rest in the woods. Good times, good times. Oh, and the '73 only had a lap belt, no shoulder belt. :o

Ever thrown a rod? How about the whole block.
I've never seen a nitro funny car or dragster do damage like that! Those things make 8000 hp!

Need advice on a bedcover for my truck
Did you not look at the warranty papers, all Extangs have at least a 10 year warranty on the tarp and would have been replaced at no cost. In over 15 years of dealing with them I have never seen this happen on an Extang cover but not saying it didn't just seems odd. For the winter time you can get the cover to close no problem if you turn the snaps over the loose setting and drop the bows to account for the shrinkage of the tarp. I don't care for the snaps either but they aren't that bad. Overall the best thing to go with is the Extang Revolution, Express or RT tonneau. All carry a lifetime frame and tarp warranty and both are extremely easy to use. Why would I subject myself to it a second time? Got tired of unsnapping it and rolling it up whenever I needed to put crap in the bed. Eventually it just fell apart. As far as flipping the snaps over... yeah, doesn't work so well even with the bows removed.
