Nope! It was a gift, so based on what I've read, I'm going to need to pay $85 on top of the shipping for the company to make it right. For $100, I'd rather put it towards another NRX.
I'd hate to spend $20 to ship the rod off and then have them tell me there isn't a single thing they can do. I sent one of their reps these photos and they told me they couldn't tell me if there was anything wrong with the rod. I can't be the only one who sees how crooked the guides and blank are?
I received a Legend Xtreme as a gift and upon further inspection noticed the guides were misaligned and the rod blank curved to the left. I would expect this kind of quality control on a $30 Walmart special but this is unacceptable on a $440 rod. I called St. Croix and I was told I could send it in but there was absolutely no guarantee they would fix the problem, if they decided it was within their so called "tolerances." I was willing to give this American company a chance but after this experience I'm staying with Loomis.
