I have not bass fished there yet... I have only trolled for trout there with great success every time. I love to go fishing with new people! It's a great way to learn and to see how other people fish. I will be starting to fish those areas pretty soon here as the ice comes off.

Latest Tackle Purchase Thread (Bait Monkey Victim Support Group)
Just a little update on my new cranking combo. I received my Dobyns rod today! I took it out to a local pond. I was just having fun casting a squarebill (not into cover, shallow 1-2.5 ft water). Lews BB1 pro reel casts so smooth and is so awesome so far. I ended up not catching any bass but had a CARP ATTACK MY SQUAREBILL. I was burning it as fast as I could so I could keep tuning in my reel for casting distance...I ended up hooking 1 carp and saw another attack it. It was the craziest thing I've ever seen a carp do.

Just got my new crank bait setup today!! Got a Lews BB1 6.4:1 from cabelas. I spooled it up with P-Line floroclear 12lb. And tomorrow I'm receiving my new Dobyns Champion XP 684CB from Tackle Warehouse. I can't wait to test it out on our half unthawed reservoirs!! haha

I have been looking for some time with no avail to finding any local bass clubs in Northern Utah. Do any of y'all know of any possibilities that I could check out? I am looking to go in as a Co-Angler.- Rod and Reel Setups
haha, just did!! I just bought my Lews BB1 Pro 6.4:1 reel and buying my dobyns DC 684CB right now!! Getting my crankbait setup this week!! Im looking at where to buy my dobyns rods from. Anyone have anything against Tackle Warehouse? I think I will buy my rods and tackle from them. (bait monkey is trying to get me to look at the baits, sooner than later )- Rod and Reel Setups
That is very true. It all depends on the environment. However I am looking to fish tournaments and travel when I can for them. I will cover lots of different places and terrain. I just want kinda a general good all around system I start me off.- Rod and Reel Setups
haha funny thing, im shopping it online right now! Looking at the rage swimmers right now. Idk what size i want though- Rod and Reel Setups
yeah, the BPS Spring sale would be more of a challenge for me, however, I live in Utah and we don't have any Bass Pro Shops.- Rod and Reel Setups
HAha. I love that guy!! It’s so true. Thought it was just me. Now i can explain to other people who’s a using up all my money. My gear just kept multiplying like mice. I even tried to separate them, but then they multiplied even faster!! Haha. I love that little monkey. Keeps me broke but very happy.- Rod and Reel Setups
Here is my new revised list of reels, I haven't really changed any of my rods yet. I still don't know what I want for my jig and Carolina rig reels. Any suggestions? *Crankbait: Lews BB1 Pro 6.4:1 (PRS1HZ) *Deep Crankbait: Lews Tournament MB 5.6:1 (TS1SMB) *Frogging:Lews Superduty G 7.5:1 (SDG1SH) Senko: Lews Mach speed spool 7.5:1 (MS1SH) Pitching and Flipping: Lews BB1 Pro 8.0:1 (PRS1XHZ) (8.1:1) *Punching:Lews Superduty 8.3:1 SDG1XHF+ Topwater: Lews Hypermag 7.5:1 (TLH1SH) Drop Shot: Spinnerbait/chatterbait: Jig:7.1:1 Carolina:- Rod and Reel Setups
I think for any of my bottom contact rods I want to choose from the the champion extreme rod series. I feel they are much more sensitive. I have not done much skipping as of now. I need to practice that after ice off.- Rod and Reel Setups
Alright. I’ll do the Superduty reel for my 735c. I will have it on my frog rod and punching rod. The BB1 older model only comes in 5.1:1 for multi stop. I was going to use it for my deep crank but Sam recommends a 6:1 for deep crank. Idk what reel for that yet. I like the slow ratio for deep. Doesn’t tire me out as fast at the end of a long day.
